Love love this place! Food was very good, service was absolutely fabulous. This was probably the friendliest most accommodating restaurant staff I have encounted in a long time. I eat gluten free and our waitress was so gracious about it. Some restaurants are irritated about having to deal with it, but not this one ....she knew what was safe for me and she offered to have the kitchen make my food in dedicated pans. The place was fun and colorful with kind-of an eclectic feel. We were headed back home from a trip to the UP and stopped around noon on a weekend for a late breakfast. It was busy but you could tell the staff was working hard to get people seated and fed with as little wait as possible. There was plenty of standard parking and we were even able to find a spot on the street behind the parking lot that could accommodate our truck hauling our boat. Highly recommend!

Great food and even better service. Exceptional sausage gravy, generous servings, and perfectly cooked to order eggs. Morning coffee was perfect and unlimited. Definitely will stop in when in Gaylord.

We have found a new favorite breakfast place! The veggie omelet and hash browns were done perfectly! Service is fast and friendly. The restaurant has a happy vibe and great food!

It was a long wait, but the food was great. And the fact that there were people waiting speaks to how good it is.
It took 30 minutes to get our order, while others who came in after us were getting their orders. There seemed to be no logic in who got their orders. Then when we were about to walk out our order came. Guess what? my California Club was totally wrong. I asked for tomatoes on the side and they were in the sandwich which wasn't a big deal till I realized there was no avocado. they brought me a big slice and I had to cut it in slices to fit on my sandwich. Not done yet, there was also no mayo. so I basically had to make my own $16 sandwich. Our waiter, Marcus, was good and said he would see how they would compensate us. I was insulted when he said they would take off $2. The manager should have come to our table and talked to us. Very bad experience.

Rise and Dine in Gaylord is a great local spot for breakfast or brunch. The food is consistently solid—fresh, hot, and exactly what you’d expect from a classic diner-style menu. What really stood out this visit was the service. Taylor was friendly, fast, and made sure everything was just right. She had a great attitude and checked in without hovering. If you’re in Gaylord, Rise and Dine is worth the stop and ask for Taylor.
