Apparently no one works here, writing this review while waiting for someone to say something at the sign -.-

If you want to wait 15 minutes before anyone acknowledges you this is the place to go. Almost 20 minutes to pick up a large blizzard ordered through the app AND the employee didn’t wash their hands before coming back from their break in the lobby. YUCK. Hopefully the health department does something about this because that is highly unsanitary. Go to Cheboygan Dairy Queen when it’s spring if you want good service and staff that actually care about personal hygiene.

Food great. Service? Dear God. I don’t even wanna talk about it. I could’ve completed a damn puzzle in the drive thru, we were there almost an hour. We receive our food and all the sauce is missing. We politely ask for it, we receive an eye roll and attitude instead. From the big one. Won’t be back.

Drove 45 miles for a pumpkin pie blizzard and they sent all the pumpkin 🎃 back cause the manager said it wasn't needed this time of year which btw is October 22. Their manager is a fun kin idi it. Also they were selling them a week ago. What time of year is supposed to be for pumpkin pie blizzards?
The employees here are just as bad as the food maybe worse. Walking into this Dairy Queen in Gaylord feels like interrupting a group of teenagers who’d rather be on their phones than doing their jobs. So annoying try hiring adults. These kids shouldn’t have a job if they are just going to stand around, ignore customers, roll their eyes when you ask for anything, and act like basic service is a chore. With them play fighting the shorter girls and a guy with blonde hair just obnoxious. Etc. I watched one of them pick at their face, touch their hair, and then get ice cream with the same hands. Another one was leaning against the counter, laughing with coworkers while orders piled up. Not a single person moved with urgency or cared about the customers waiting. It’s obvious management doesn’t care either, because nobody here has been trained in hygiene, manners, or customer service. No smiles, no “thank you,” just pure laziness and rudeness. HIRE NEW PEOPLE this place is a joke. do yourself a favor and stay far, far away from this Dairy Queen. Can’t even get food without them saying they aren’t serving it. It’s 1pm what do you mean you can’t serve food ridiculous. Multiple encounters with the same employees just horseplaying sick of it. Never will be back here.

I have visited here 4 times over the past 2 years. Each time hoping for improvement.
Ice cream was too runny each time. The last visit it fell off the cone when it was handed to me. Service was lack luster.
Won't be going back.
Go to Alanson Dairy Queen if you want a great cone.

I just can't believe how small a large ice cream sundae is, and how expensive.

The food is good but the service is poor. Lines are excessive with long wait times and they short you food without telling you. When you find out and go back and ask them they say they are out of that and will not let you sub for anything else or offer a refund (if you order in the app). Very disappointed and won't be returning anytime soon.

We stopped and got 2 adult combos and a kids meal. All three burgers were COLD, not just cooled off, the cheese wasn't melted and the buns were extra firm. We had already gotten back on the expressway before we discovered this and ended up having to stop somewhere else for food. My blizzard was ok but my wife's chocolate strawberry stared off great, but after the first couple bites is was chunks of chocolate and vanilla ice cream. Normally I really like DQ food, but I would, and will avoid this location.

Food was good but they messed up our order. We went inside and told them and they apologized and made it right.

Every single time we have given this location a try, it’s a total disappointment. The speaker is garbage so we can’t hear the person talking and they obviously can’t hear us. We confirmed the order multiple times at the speaker and again at the window. We finally get our orders, and the blizzard we wanted extra Reese’s and extra Oreos, had zero Reese’s and hardly any Oreos. I asked for a little cup of both to add in myself and got a few chunks of Oreos. I rarely ever take the time to write bad reviews but we were totally astonished that even after confirming multiple times at the window it was still incorrect.
Absolute disgrace waited 20 minutes in the drive-through after they told me it would be a minute. I watched them serve five cars in front of me while they move the entire drive-through then they proceed to tell me they’re not serving food. What a joke this place really needs new management or to just be shut down absolute trash place.
You will wait for hot fresh food but worth it. Just a heads up I generally wait 20 minutes for my order as its a large one, and it's always spot on. This team is always busting their butts.
Truly disappointed- went through drive thru, orderd a number 9 double cheeseburger with curds and a blizzard with a coke. My burger was cold and the meat taste awful, and all my cheese ran out of my curds. Not sure what happened if they were in the fryer too long or what. But $17 bucks for my blizzard and coke in the end.
