Mixed review. My family is on a road trip headed to Mackinaw City & the UP. We stumbled upon the lovely little town of Gaylord. We were pleasantly surprised to find El Patron. Our waiter was fantastic. We were seated and served immediately. Loved the decor. The food was good, if a little bland for our tastes. After we got back on the road, I realized I had left my prescription sunglasses behind. My daughter slid out of the booth, so I suspected they got swiped on the floor....
This place was good. I didn’t have any drinks though. I enjoyed the food immensely. I ordered shrimp fajitas. My friend ordered the California burrito. Both were enjoyable. We also got the chips and salsa which we were charged for. All the prices were fair.
My only caveat was the bathrooms. They were absolutely unacceptable. There was paper towel and toilet paper littering the floors, which themselves hadn’t looked swept or mopped in ages! One of the stalks...

Great food and fast service! Wet burrito was supreme!
Went there again on 12-2-2024 (also several times in between posts) I ordered the largest burrito on the menu! I was not disappointed! I brought it home to eat (it will make 3 meals for me!) The atmosphere, the food, the hospitality is still great! Anyone who passes by or comes to Gaylord it is well worth your visit!
