Definitely not worth the visit. Staff was rude, food was dry and disgusting like it had been sitting out all day or they just re-heat it. I'd keep your money and cook at home.

We went here at the request of our daughter, but I don't think we will be going back. While the employees are friendly, the food was cold, my daughter had to have help cutting her chicken because it was so tough, my husband's burger bun was stale/hard and the high chair my one year old sat in was sticky and gritty. Also of the times we have been there, it doesn't seem like there's ever a menu rotation for the buffet.

The restaurant has a buffet but with employees getting what you select. IMHO they are doing the best they can under harsh restrictions. All the employees we encountered were very nice and friendly. However the food was mediocre, but again I believe they are doing the best they can. So if you want to sit-down and eat, this is an option.

Eating at a buffet has always been a great experience, recently the pandemic hit everyone hard like a freight train with a Lamborghini engine. Despite the pandemic, they kept the buffet portion open, so I took the risk. I have not seen a safer setup in a restaurant than in this one. They had glass you stand in front of listing the items, and a worker gets your plate for you, so that customers don't have to touch the food increasing risk, this alone was worth a 4 and a half, of course, the food was banging too! This is why I give this joint a 5 star rating! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

The food was hot and the variety was fantastic. The best place to eat in town. Friendly and attentive staff. I will be stopping back here the next time I'm up north.

The staff was great! They all had smiles and were all about customer service for sure. The food lacked life if you will. The place was basically clean but the bathrooms needed a bit of maintenance and upkeep and a good cleaning. I do have to say that the soda was really good! Perfect carbonation and it was perfectly cold.

This place is literally disgusting. My family stopped here on our trip to pick up a family member and we were in the vehicle for 10 hours and figured this would be a good place to eat and take a break but were we wrong! Its so nasty. It tastes spoiled and old. The food was cold, the ham looked very old. The kids wouldn't even eat anything, not even the cheese sauce for the chips they thought was disgusting. Unbelievable. Paid $40 to have to stop at mcdonalds to eat after we left.

Food was ok. I understand that because of the virus, you have to serve us this way, but come on, put a little more on the plate. A tablespoon of potatoes? So when I come back for more, loose the attitude that I'm interrupting you. Erin, I'm looking at you. Also, wearing a mask below your nose is not doing anything.
Ponderosa does a good job with handling social distancing. The food bar is served for you by gloved and masked employees. The waitress for our table also observed safety protocols. The food was delish as always.

Very poor place got some chicken wings from buffet bit into one and found out it was completely raw and bloody. Told the manager he said sorry and threw them away and that was it didn't offer a discount or nothing spent 87 dollars and all I got was sick. Won't never return

My daughter wanted to treat me out! The mashed potatoes were thin and no favor, thank god for the gravy! But those made my potatoes so running I had to use my spoon!!. I had meat loaf, that tasted like a baked hamburger no favor!! To say the least, I won't be going back!!! I'd rather have something greasy that's unhealthy but has favor at least!
