“Classic Midwest Diner done to perfection. I stopped here for the same reason I select most diners in the Midwest - they had the most cars in the parking lot. The locals know quality and this place does not disappoint. I had the egg sandwich AND added pancakes because they are so tasty. I know contemplating the best pancake is difficult but these folks nail it. The service is authentic Midwest nice and the atmosphere welcoming and local - with honor to the owners in the past posted in the dining room. Tasty.”

“As an out-of-towner I was looking for a watering hole to imbibe from, this bar really came thru. Everyone else closed early, and they were a last-chance resort. They did not fail to impress. The clientele were friendly and inviting, and Josh, the bartender, was on point with nurturing me with drink every time I needed one, sometimes before I knew I needed it. Sand Bar was a super rewarding experience after coming off a long road from the bike. Highly recommend! Much fun!”

“The food was phenomenal! I was hesitant for the price, but the food was soooo worth it!
The people who waited on my table were super friendly and made sure we were happy with our food and service as well. I thought I was going to finish my burger but at last it had to be taken home. This was my first time coming here . Even right before close (they were still full of spirit and energy!) I will definitely be coming back again!

“I give them 3/5 stars. For the most part, I judge a coffee shop based on how good their chai tea is (and trust me I’ve had some real bad chai before). I ordered a pumpkin chai here and it was so overly sweet I couldn’t even taste the chai and didn’t end up taking more than a few sips. Disappointed, I tried the donuts and found those to be incredibly sweet as well. Perhaps it’s just not my preference but my toddler wanted nothing to do with them either. Coffee was very hot. We had a 30 minute drive and my husband couldn’t enjoy it until we were on our way back an hour later. Good for long distance drivers/workers I suppose. On a positive note: good customer service, fair pricing, and convenient location. I think we will try again down the road.”

“Went there on Monday with my daughter, mother and my sweet granddaughter. The food was delicious. I had the awesome funnel fries, definitely brings me to the fair. If you haven’t tried those, I would definitely recommend those with everything else 😉❤️ Of course I had to try my very first Boba drink because my granddaughter raves about them so I tried the strawberry lemonade boba and let me tell you it was pretty cool and a fun drink. Definitely need to try it out too even to say you have done it. 😉 I feel young again lol. Awesome place and highly recommend 🙂”

“Absolutely wonderful subway. I prefer this location over the ones in Escanaba any day. The bread and cookies are always top notch. My son has food allergies and the girl with short colored hair working the counter was mindful enough to ask if the 2 cookies I ordered could go in the same bag. It’s the little things that matter.My only critique is the tables tend to be dirty despite slow traffic and abundant employees.

“Haven’t been to the Stonehouse for a couple years and it was just as good as I remembered! I ordered the lake perch with the gourmet mac and cheese on the side and it was delicious! Service was great and I enjoyed the wine selection as well. It can be a bit of a wait to get seated if they are busy, but thankfully we arrived at a time where we only had to wait about 10 minutes before getting seated.”

“Their Taco Pizza is crazy good! They give you x-salsa if you ask, but I always have a bottle of taco sauce on hand. Such a great deal for a medium size. It feels like it weighs 10 pounds!”

“We stayed nearby for our son’s graduation ceremony from NMU and had the Friday fish and shrimp fry-yuuuuummmmmmyyyy! The servers were great and the bartender a hoot! Very homey vibes-so much so that we came back the next night for homemade custom pizza. Delish! Great fun!”

“My only disappointment is that we didn’t find this place sooner! I’m not a sausage on my pizza lover, so the deluxe with ham instead INSTANTLY called me. The sesame seeds on the crust are a flavor I never knew my pizza needed. Cooked to perfection every time where the fresh veggies still have that perfect “crunch!””
