This subway is very normal, in both the food and atmosphere. The service, though? Both incredible and not so. One employee, a young man, gave me awesome recommendations and service to me and my family! One girl was respectful and kind, very normal. The other woman who was working was rude to my mom and someone else was on the phone when she answered the phone while my family sat down to eat. She didn't listen to my mom's order, got mad afterward, slammed some doors, and then hung up on another person on the phone. It was a good experience overall, minus the crusty lady behind the counter. I do not know the team member's names, but that one young guy was awesome in recommending something that made my sandwich awesome. 8/10, would come here again!
I walked up to the counter. I was the only person in there and they told me it was gonna take 10 to 15 minutes because they had to go order of 10 subs. You think walk in orders would take precedence over phone in orders
Nice staff, clean and friendly!

The girl working was incredibly RUDE- I called at 945 (live less than 5 minutes away) and said point blank “as long as you’re here before 10, otherwise the door will be locked” also refused to make a foot long Pretzel or cookie even tho they had them in the store. Got there and she was even MORE RUDE in person (black hair with red stripes). Said my order was made, but then made me wait for her to finish making 3 ppls subs, even tho there was a friendly blond boy working. Will NEVER return as long as she is working!!
Absolutely wonderful subway. I prefer this location over the ones in Escanaba any day. The bread and cookies are always top notch. My son has food allergies and the girl with short colored hair working the counter was mindful enough to ask if the 2 cookies I ordered could go in the same bag. It’s the little things that matter. My only critique is the tables tend to be dirty despite slow traffic and abundant employees.
Dietary restrictions: Allergen menu offered directly on the food preparation station.

I've been to this place dozens of times over the years, and I have never… NEVER… gotten a bad sandwich. They always take the time and effort to make your sandwich just how you want it, and they always make sure you're absolutely certain about your selections before moving on to the next part of assembly. And of course, the prices are perfect! I miss the Five-Dollar Foot-Long™, sure, but six bucks for my preferred sandwich (the Spicy Italian) isn't bad!The people are always really great and there's only been one time that I've ever had a bad interaction with someone, there. Otherwise, they're as friendly as you are and always open to a small amount of chit-chat during slow hours. (I usually go in during the early morning.)It's worth mentioning, they recently renovated this specific Subway. It used to look like a 2000s Subway sandwich shop, but now it looks completely up-to-date with all the other chain shops I've seen. And honestly? I'm kind of digging it. The atmosphere was never bad, but with the new lighting and the lighter colors, it somehow feels even more cheery than before! If you happen to be cruisin' on US Route 2 in the Upper Peninsula, heading to Escanaba or Rapid River, and you want a delicious sandwich done right by friendly, attentive people, this Subway is the place to go!

Subway corporate has really failed this location. Employees are amazing but they aren't given the tools they need to succeed regularly.
