We're new to the area as we recently bought a vacation home in Frankin Twp. A neighbor of ours recommended this place, so we stopped in on our way back home downstate to try it. For starters, we had a fantastic server! Very friendly & helpful. I got their roll up sandwich with turkey, lettuce, swiss cheese & I added onions. The turkey was very tasty & wasn't your typical lunchmeat style turkey . The wrap was slightly on the dry side, but definitely still edible & tasty. However, they forgot to put swiss cheese on it, which I pointed out to our server who reinterated that cheese was supposed to be on the sandwich. She took 10% off our bill, which I told her she didn't have to do that, as I still enjoyed the sandwich, eating the entire thing. My husband got their grilled ham & cheese with fries, which he said was very tasty. He chose their white bread, which from my understanding, their bread is homemade. Now, I want to talk about their baked goods, which definitely deserve to be mentioned. They have dinner rolls, which were reminiscent of those dinner rolls you used to get at Chinese restaurants. WELL, those dinner rolls are also homemade AND taste just like the ones at Chinese restaurants, with that touch of sweetness flavor. You can get either a half dozen (or a dozen, I can't remember) for $9 & let me just tell you, they're well worth it! They had pies & cakes, which I didn't try, but I did get a half dozen of their, also homemade, cookies. $9 & change for six ginormous cookies, all of which were fantastic!! Looking forward to returning for breakfast & dinner, as I hear their fish is fabulous!

Food was greasy and gross. Portion size is incredibly small, and prices were incredibly high. Waitress was friendly and attentive.

Im the kind of person that orders the same thing at each restaurant and I definitely need to stop ordering the turkey sandwich here because it is so dry …and not just a little bit. Tastes like it’s been frozen and then thawed multiple times. I’m from Gladwin and have been going here since it was The Robins Nest back in the late 80’s, I left and got married in 94 but still come home about every 3 months and have always made it a point to eat here but the last few times the meal has definitely been disappointing.
I’ve never ordered a different meal, so I’m only speaking about the Turkey sandwich, the fries were fine, but I ordered gravy on the side and it was cold and clumpy this last time. I told my husband we’d probably never eat there again as we left. (Sad about it) however; the staff were friendly and nice.

There's some food that isn't great but for the most part it's really good! I love their breakfast, fried cod, and chicken sandwich. When they have it, their carrot cake is to die for! Service is good, and the atmosphere is alright.

My Costa Rican wife was wanting home style food and it had to include meat. We both chose the double decker but she ordered onion rings too. Tracy, our server, was very pleasant and helpful. Our burgers were perfect! Then my wife spotted the a homemade banana-nut bread loaf and a pumpkin-nut bread. They even had Bible tracts available to the patrons. We're enjoying visiting this beautiful small town with all their sweet people. I hope the people who see the advertisers on the placemats patronize those businesses. Great place!

We used to go there all the time but on are last visit we got bloody chicken then they refried it just cooked the blood. Still would not eat it the cook said it was not blood. Still charged us for it I think it's time for a new cook. It will probably be a long time before we go there again if ever.
Been here several times with my 3 teenage boys. Food is pretty good. Home town vibes, love the woodland decor. I continued to choose it because I love to support a small business. Today was the last straw. We came in to order 3 full meals (which are over priced to begin with, but I get it. Economy sucks) I just wanted to have the salad bar. I wanted to add it on to the meals I had ordered for 3.99. It’s 11.99 on its own. (ABSOLUTELY not worth 12.00, it’s pre cut GFS food) She informed me that there was no sharing the salad bar at the price. 🙄🙄 Ok. Fine. I just won’t order. And then when I went back up to order maybe a side salad or cup of soup, and I saw a very small sign, slightly hidden, that there was a 3% charge on my debit card! Are you kidding me?? I’ve spent hundreds there and they want to bleed a rock dry? I’ll pass. Owners seem to be money hungry, and frankly the service sucks. Waitresses aren’t very pleasant most of the time. WILL NOT BE BACK!

This place is to small and the staff is rude. My first time there they didn’t have any where for my group to sit. Then 10 minutes later one of the staff members comes up to us very aggressively and told us that she can’t have this ( referring to my new born and my daughter) and we need to move out of the way but she doesn’t have another place for us to sit. Very rude unprofessional I been to plenty of family dinners and this one is one of the worst they ruined my dinner with my family.

The food was great but a little pricey. I settled for the biscuits and gravy, which was the best thing I did. I had gotten the large size, and oh my goodness........it was a huge bowl full. Absolutely delicious!!! The biscuits were soooo soft and fluffy, and the gravy was bursting with flavor!! Needless to say, I couldn't even eat a quarter of it, and the rest came home. Very, very good.
