Night and day compared to the old owners. As a former patron, I was skeptical. I grabbed a bit of everything meat wise with a few sides, just to test. The new owners were warm and welcoming and explained why theyre ribs were different. Competition style. I remember eating them that way (not fall off the bone) when I was down south a few years ago. The wife prefers fall off the bone so I just tossed them in the oven and slathered em up in BBQ sauce for about an hour in tin foil...
The new management told us they changed all the recipes, so I was interested to try things again. I was not impressed with anything we got. The broasted chicken seems to be battered now, so it kind of just tastes like bland fried chicken. The Mac and cheese was better than it used to be, but it still was not worth buying. As someone who always checks reviews before buying anything, I looked before going and was hesitant. Let this be the review that you read and takes you there because you can thank me later. We are from Royal Oak and before this place had struggled to find any good smoked bbq foods. The food is great and the owner is so friendly and passionate about his food and he has every right because…WOW.
