We and another couple went to celebrate our anniversaries. Service was exceptional and the meal was delicious.
We started with the wild mushroom crostini and lobster deviled eggs. Our main entrees were the Kobe sirloin, Faroe Island salmon, oyster mushrooms and grains, and scallops. Everything was perfect.
We had a great night and look forward to dining at 1873 again.

The food is far superior than what we have grown to expect from the Kirby House franchise. We had a wonderful experience with a knowledgeable waiter. Many of the staff are still in training, so it did take some time, but we didn't mind since it was such a lovely night and we had some delicious cocktails.

Dorian makes this place. She’s an excellent server, a great bartender, and a lot of fun. She’s quick witted and attentive. The food was great, though the salad portions are way too generous. But what truly made our experiences there this summer was the impeccable service received by Dorian.

Ate here tonight for Hubby’s Birthday. Ben was our Server. Total Class. We had the most amazing service, the food: highly recommend the Beef Tartare with Bread combo, the filet with mashed potatoes, the tiramisu, etc…..everything was top notch.
We can’t thank Ben enough for all of his attention to detail. Excellent job, Ben! We will be back.

The atmosphere and decor were very nice. Our waiter was very good. Friendly, polite, and conversational. I had the Ribeye, and she had the prawns, with wedge salad. What a complete disappointment. My steak looked great, but was flavorless, and chewy. We had to ask for her prawns (very undersized) to be replaced . Very rubbery, had a hard time cutting them with a knife. The replacements were frankly, not much of an improvement although they were at least warmer. I'd say if you're looking for a nice meal out, pass on this restaurant.
