Ordered a sub and a pizza. Took 35 min to get the pizza we ask how long would it be before the sub would show up. She said they were working on it. 15 minutes later we ask again where is the sub she said if you have a problem with it ask the owner he is in the kitchen. Still waiting for the sub we ask the owner to come and and she said he said no. I looked around and there was only 1 other table in the restaurant.

Honestly, I remember this place being a lot better than it was tonight. The pizza was decent at best. Nothing to write home about. Our server was very nice, but a problem that I had, was with our party of 8, they brought out one person's food 10 minutes before the rest of it. I think it is in a restaurant's best interest to serve all food at the same time.

The crust recipe seems to have changed. It's thinner and drier, not what we've enjoyed the past 40-50 years. Unfortunate.
A regular stop for us on weekends. Pizza always delivers consistency and service is great. We always prefer to sit in the bar area but not always possible as so many others have found what we love in Clover Bar.

Clover Bar has been a staple in my family for decades. The pizza is the best. The crust is thin and crispy, the sauce has been the same since it was introduced in the sixties in downtown Grand Haven. This place is a landmark in town and can be very busy on the weekends and any day in the summer. The pizzas are hand made to order and take time to bake so they can take some time to come out during busy times but are definitely worth the wait, so relax, enjoy a cold beer and take in the old time pizzeria atmosphere. Enjoy!
