I'm giving this place one star I'd give a zero personally but the service was great the restaraunt is so small I could barely move through the place in my wheelchair when it was a lunch rush but the food is the real issue here it is way overpriced and taste like garbage the fries were soggy with oil soaking through the bag with no salt the strawberry shake was very bland and the burger had no flavor either idk why this place is so highly rated but I'll never eat there again

Well, considering my favorite uncle helped build this place, I figured I better leave a review. So imma leave a truthful one. If you stop in for a burger fries milkshake lunch dinner, you will NOT be disappointed. Top notch all the way. I gotta come back and try the onion rings, but I'm sure they are as good as the burger and fries I had today. Stop in, you'll be glad you did.

Fond childhood memories bring me back here time and time again. While the food is plentiful for the price it's sadly just okay and lacks the flavor of yesteryear. Will always stop in when back in the area to attempt to recapture that nostalgia though.

First time trying this place. Loved it. Crispy fries and a good burger. You can tell it was fresh and it had the grill burnt taste which I love. I wish it was a bigger place. I’ll be back soon.

Absolutely always love Ray's you can almost never go wrong if you need a quick bite. Unfortunately today our fries were so salty we couldn't even eat them. Need to slow down on the shaker guys!!

New to the area and a sucker for great diner style food. The employees were pleasant & helpful. The environment is retro & cute. My issue is in the food. Even diner style food can taste fantastic if done right. I feel the flaws of the food & ways of cooking fall on the owner. The employees were very nice & can only work with the products their given to cook with. I ordered the perch dinner. It was definitely a frozen filet thrown in the fryer. Living on Lake Michigan this is a chance to be a shining star of perch dinners. You could find local perch easy and at a price where you could go from $13.99 for frozen mush to $17.99 for "the best perch in Grand Haven". That would be my move. Just improvements on the quality of ingredients. Go fresh without losing the profits ?
