Everyone there is very friendly, the atmosphere is nostalgic and inviting, and the food is great! Their baked goods are insanely good. It’s one of my favorite places to visit when I come into town!
My family had the best experience here during our trip to Grand Marais. Judy was our server, and she was so, so kind and helpful. She gave us recommendations for places to visit during our stay, she threw in some extra food samples for us to try, and above all, she was just so warm and friendly. We really needed that after having a negative experience with a rude server elsewhere in town. The food here was amazing and priced reasonably. The atmosphere was so quirky and eclectic....
Stopped in to try the Kropsua (Finish pancakes) we saw on their website. I now have a new favorite breakfast diner. Sorry Heidi’s of Lake Tahoe, you have been outdone in the quaint Upper Peninsula by Archie’s Diner as our #1 favorite in the USA. Food was amazing, staff were warm and welcoming and the decor was adorable. Very nice gift shop to browse while waiting for a table. Go early and hungry so you can savor the entire experience.
