The new owners have done a great job carrying on the tradition while bringing their own flair. Must try the Finnish pancake with compote. The sweet owner even gifted our newly engaged daughter some local jam (strawberry & champagne). Be sure to find them while in Grand Marais.
Stopped in late morning hoping we weren’t too late to try the Finnish pancakes! We got lucky and they did not disappoint—simple but delicious. Staff was lovely and despite having run out of eggs, our waitress Chloe made every effort to make our meal a wonderful experience! Will definitely be coming back to this place if I get a chance to visit Grand Marais again!
We really loved this classic diner that is so easy to find. On the morning we visited, this was the only place in Grand Marais that was serving a delicious breakfast. This place is a little gem tucked in a bigger gem; Grand Marais is a lovely town with a deep history, and Archie's was the perfect breakfast spot to start our day.
