Drove all the way from Rockford hearing about how great this place was, only to discover they were closed. It takes about five seconds to update your Google listing. They call themselves restructuring, and apparently they didn't invest in digital infrastructure. It was a fifteen minute drive that could have been spent differently. If you expect to be rated on Google by users of Google, the very least you could do is respect our time. We use Google to find you, direct us to you, and see when you are open for business. You don't have the option of failure.
I just visited Phillidelphia and had original cheese steaks from Gino's and Pat's, and these are on point if not better. It was hard to find the location since its a pop up and we weren't aware of that fact, though the staff was happy to assist over the phone.
Last Sunday, I ordered a full PCS for delivery - they delivered a half. Ordered it through my daughter Maeve's account on grub hub or UberEats, not certain. Just an oversight I am sure. My first PCS experience, Summer 2020 was amazing! PCS and Fries, home made fries. The fries or onion rings are a must.
Food was great price was little bit high but still great food
The cheesesteak was burnt. I heard good things about this place but I was disappointed. However this is just my personal experience I’m sure not everybody is going to get a burnt sandwich just this sandwich was really burnt and a waste of money.
This place has outstanding cheesesteaks and onion rings! You can really tell everything is fresh and made from scratch. Of course that is reflected in the price, but you get a good value. I did have an issue with a missing side of whiz, but their manager made it right. I will definitely be back.
Been here quite a few times since they opened in April. The last two times, especially yesterday the food was disappointing. We ordered a full Philly, junior Philly, and rings. Bread was extremely hard on both sandwiches and the rings were under cooked. Hope they can get back to the quality they served when they opened because it was awesome.
First of all, not sure why this is a different name but if you're looking for it, it is in the New Mertens Bakery.I've done a little shopping around trying to find the best cheese steak in GR. This one personally has my vote.Price - 7.50 for half, $15 for full. It comes with sauteed onions and house made whiz. You can add lettuce and tomato if you'd like. They went all McDonald's on us and their milkshake machine was down which was a bummer. Fries are $3/$5/$8...the one pictured is the medium ($5), plenty for 2.Since we're on that - Fries are amazing. Served fryer fresh. Seasoned with salt and fresh cracked pepper. Very flavorful.Cheese steak - I got the half. I wish there was one more size as I wanted more than a half but don't think I could commit to a full without getting greased out. The whiz is phenomenal. I used some that fell out of sandwich while eating to dip my fries in. The steak was a perfectly seasoned chopped shaved beef. The bun was not a "from Philly" style. I was a huge fan, however not traditional Philly hoagie if that's what you're desperate for. Still compliments the sandwich greatly.Onion rings look great, as do milkshakes according to other images. Can't wait to try again!
Love their vanilla shake. Plenty thick! It's so dang tasty. The cheesesteak is super yummy. Hands down best onion rings I've ever had ('cept for on the rare occasion when the batter isn't cooked on the inside). I would like the option for curbside pickup because the COVID cases are continuing to grow in Kent County and I do not feel safe picking up indoors when they cater to dine-in service.

9th Street has become a staple dining spot for our family during COVID quarantine. Don’t let the menu prices give you sticker shock. 1 sandwich and an order of fries is enough to feed 2 adults and our toddler, and we are all big eaters. The service is always fast and friendly, and they have taken sanitation precautions seriously. Can’t say enough great things about them.
Excellent food. A bit pricey. Also automatically add 18% gratuity, which seems high when ordering at a counter rather than a waitress.
My partner and I had been dying to grab a cheesesteak and finally bit the bullet this week. One may balk at the price but the sandwich was huge and the perfect sharing size for two. It was absolutely delicious and the house made cheese whiz really makes the sandwich. We also ordered a side of fries. The bag we got could seriously feed 4 people, it was huge. Unfortunately, the fries were not great (overdone or not fresh, I'm not sure) and we ended up wasting alot of them (house made ranch was good!). I wish there were a size about half the amount, I'd still pay $6 for them esp if they're nice and fresh! We would definitely come back for the sandwich, fries not so much.
We ordered 1 cheese steak and 1 large order of onion rings. I took less than half of the sandwich and my husband ate the rest. I'm glad we only ordered one because this was more than enough! We couldn't finish the order of onion rings ( probably best onion rings I've ever had)! I would have posted photos but I was really hungry and wasn't thinking. I highly recommend 9th St Steaks! The meat was perfectly seasoned, there was no fat on the meat, and they're not cheap with how much meat they add.
I was excited to try this place since it’s so close to where I live. I ordered a cheesesteak and an order of onion rings and both were so salty my wife and I couldn’t finish the food. For the price it was very disappointing.
