The worst breads in Grand Rapids. I've tried several times and each loaf is the same dry and tasteless result. I do not understand how a non commercial bakery can produce fresh bread that tastes and appears to have been frozen. The list of poor quality ingredients equals poor quality baked goods.

Horrible people closed early on a Saturday then came to door and laughed that they where closed.

I love their Dutch Chocolate Torte so we made a special trip thinking we’d get lunch and get some cake. We were told the kitchen was being renovated so no lunch. Just a bit disappointed since the website advertises salads and sandwiches. We took the cake home and it was kind of dry. Seemed like maybe it had been in the freezer for awhile. I’ve always loved this place and was expecting more. Hopefully this was a one time experience and it will be better next time.

The last few loaves of Italian Ciabatta Bread that were bought at Meijer in Battle Creek were over baked and dryVery disappointing in my favorite bread

The picture shown is supposed to be the inner filling of the cake. There was none. The outside frosting was so thin you could see the actual cake in places around the outside. The cake itself was lopsided. The frosting left a gross film. Never again. Arnies is going downhill...and fast.

Came in just for a dozen Donuts, they were decadent and delicious. Fast and friendly staff.Be aware that all the donuts are cake batter donuts if you’re looking for more basic recipes. Parking was confusing for us.Parking: Could only find parking directly in front of the shop which was difficult, had to do a couple laps around the blocks to find parking and then had to come down the street the correct direction to even grab one of the few spots. Maybe we missed some signs for better parking but we struggled for sure.

Unfortunately, my girlfriend and I had did not read the recent Google reviews about Arnie's. We had expectations of the Arnies of old, and ordered a cake for pickup for the 23rd of December to have for Christmas Eve.The cake was dry, not very good. Like something you'd buy that had been sitting on the shelf at the grocery store for a few days in the bakery area. Not a cake that you ordered special from Arnie's to celebrate a holiday.Would never order from them again.

I got stuck in deadlock traffic and called the bakery and commented i might be a minute late could you stay open, its my mothers birthday and it means a lot to me, the lady on the phone stated "other people have lives too" and wouldn't open the bakery any longer than exactly 6pm. LUCKILY I SOME HOW MADE IT ON TIME! there was no parking lot, just a pull to the curb side and in you go, so i ran into the store with 1 minute left to spare, got my cake, paid, and left immediately. as i get in my car i look at my phone it says 6:00 pm and i look up and she is walking out the freaking door. unbelievable how selfish this person was. i will not be going here again. this was a very important thing to me, i even told her it was important to me and my mother and called early to negotiate but nah shes got something super important to do apparently. im still very mad about the whole thing

I have been getting bread at Arnie's Bakery Outlet for years but I don't think I will do that anymore. Yesterday the packages of sub rolls on the Buy One Get One Free rack were $10.00 for each package. As I understand BOGO Free, it is "Buy one at the regular price and get one free", not double the price of each item and call it BOGO Free. I don't know anywhere that charges $10.00 for a package of sub rolls. It violates the spirit of BOGO Free - like they are trying to trick people. I can buy bread at Aldi.

Ordered a cake two weeks in advance with speciality image, called because I hadn’t received a confirmation email. Person I spoke with said “oh yeah, they don’t really send confirmation emails - if you haven’t heard anything, you should be all set.” I asked to speak with someone anyway just to be sure, and received a phone call back two days later (also two days before pickup) and was told they can’t do the cake. Sounds like their manager wasn’t doing their job, and made it my issue to scramble at the last second. If I hadn’t pushed, I truly don’t believe they would have reached out and I would have arrived and not had a cake available.

I never usually leave negative reviews, but the quality of their cakes have gone downhill from when I grew up going here. I visited my family in GR and got one of these for chocolate cakes for my birthday. This particular one used to my favorite growing up. However, we all took a slice after singing and all thought the same thing...this hands down was one of the worst tasting, most dry cakes I have ever bought. What a waste of money... and a major disappointment. I seem to not be the only one who noticed their quality when south in recent years!

I liked being able to pick out a birthday cake that was ready to go, and the decorator wrote a message on it, took maybe 5 minutes in and out. Great cake and nice staff!
