Wow what a great place! Only thing you need to ask your self about this place is. When is the soonest I can go? Everything we had was great and be sure to get the tamarind juice. Absolutly bomb food!

Food, ambience and flavors of the Caribbean abound. Loved the original art work on the walls as well.

My first time having plantains and I am now a fan. Loved how they were grilled and how the subtle sweetness complemented the savory rice, chicken, ham and steak. The poached egg added another element and was perfectly cooked. Not sure what the sauce was, but it had a tanginess that balanced against the plantain nicely. The only thing that would have made me love the dish more is a little heat. Otherwise, a great dish indeed.

Ok. So. The fried green plantains with the ketchup mayo sauce ???. Everything was good! Try the passion fruit juice! I'd have a better picture but honestly it was so good that we just ate it all before I remembered to grab a pic.

No one there to greet you or seat you. Had to ask waitress who seemed bothered. Waited 20 mins for appetizers that were missing sauces, never came back to check on us, so I never got to say anything. Waited another 40 minutes for food, still no server around. Left $ to pay for appetizers and left.

My Husband and I got take out here for the first time today and it was exceptional, we found a new favorite. We got salchiqueso and al pastor empanadas, some fried plantains, and one of the sandwiches.

The food was good and the service was great! My only advice would be, don't temper the flavor and heat of Caribbean food for the masses. Offer different heat levels if required but dont hold back for those who want the full flavor of Caribbean food!

I've traveled all across the US and Mexico including the gulf. This has the best Yuca fries and plantains I've ever had. We had the paella, the steak jibirito and the empanadas. All were dynamite. The servers were also very nice and they had nice inclosed outdoor seating. We will 100% be coming back here for years to come.

Not sure why it took so long to bring our bill. It was clear we were done. Our plates were taken. However, we watched our waitress give others who came after us (in some cases, plates were still on the table) their dinner bills while we were ignored. After some time of observing this, we had to call on another waiter to assist. Other than that, the meal was okay. The quantity was also okay.

The atmosphere was bright and fun! The food was delicious. The beef with guava sauce was so good! The corn and coconut pudding was amazing! Fast service. Clean, bright, good food presentation! We will return!

First time eat Caribbean food ever. We found this restaurant while on our way walking to the sushi place in Grand Rapid. Since it not something can easily be found where we live, we decided to not eat sushi but try this Caribbean restaurant. The restaurant is colorful, music on, feel like you are in Caribbean island. Food is awesome, we ordered chofan & steak jibarito. They have sweet plantain in my dish which I really like, wish I could have more. We love to come back next time and try other dishes very soon.

The restaurant was clean and had a nice feel to it. Seated right under the speakers with very loud music playing made it a little louder than we'd have liked. The service was the low-point - forgotten dish elements and napkins, and didn't see any staff for quite a while. The food was really good and definitely authentic. The Empanadas were flavorful, but a little dry - the only downside to the food. We will probably be back or order takeout.

The food was delicious. Service was slow due to not enough wait staff, but staff was very friendly. One person in our party, who has a serious food allergy, was served the wrong item and, unknowingly, ate some of it before it was realized. Value for price is excellent. We wish that they were able to serve alcohol. Ambiance could be greatly improved with dimmer lights and a small increase on the volume of the music. We would come back! Will for sure give another try!
