We came in with a large group and the waitress's were on point. Also... The best 🌮 I have ever had. Mango Margarita was great as well.

I have yet to come to this restaurant after multiple visits and not leave feeling satisfied. The food is always delicious with very fair portions. The staff is always friendly, and they have always taken the food sensitivities that my family has seriously. The location next to van andel arena is also wonderful. Makes for a great outing to Grand Rapids. Close to parking in close to the venue for sporting events, concerts, and more.

We hosted a party at Barrio in Grand Rapids and had THE BEST experience! From working with the assistant manager, Josh Lucas, to the catering director, AJ Hawley—who went above and beyond to ensure a guest with an allergy had a safe and delicious option—to the outstanding wait staff, everything was exceptional. Highly recommend for anyone looking to host an event with great service, fun atmosphere, easy parking, and delicious food!

My DÃa de Los Muertos experience at Barrio was tremendous.
It was an absolute awesome opportunity to sit and eat and enjoy the food of Spanish-Ameican Latin based Tex-Mex.
The opportunity I'm Grand Rapids to enjoy this eatery is brand new, and with so many options to dine Downtown Grand Rapids; I am glad to know I made a great decision.
I had black beans which were exquisite. I topped them with items of my choosing would will leave you reading to want to try the options a whole lot more. I had a balanced bowl of tortilla chips and a beverage of my enjoyment. Having and understanding of the art as I observed the football game made my food so much more of a rich opportunity.
I definitely encourage you to dine at Barrio.
Food, drinks, and even an outdoor patio to enjoy during the autumn season.
Check out a venue for entertainment in Grand Rapids and eat at Barrio.

My favorite Grand Rapids Taqueria.
Vida was an amazing server! 11:30 am she had 5 tables one of them was a party of 9!
Our chips and drinks stayed full. Food was fast, accurate, and delicious. Vida made great menu recommendations and kept the energy! A great brunch experience with phenomenal food.

My boyfriend and I went here tonight for a date night. We each ordered tacos, and it took almost an hour for them to arrive. In the meantime we each got a margarita, which were pretty good but we didn’t have straws. We also never got our chips? When our food came it was cold, and my order was wrong — I had ordered corn tortillas and received flour instead. This was a bummer since I’m gluten free. Also, with tip our bill was about $70. Crazy price for mediocre service, long wait times, cold food, and the wrong order.

Ok let me start by saving you all money and time, DO NOT EAT HERE. Unless of course you like to waste your money and have absolutely no pallet.
Absolutely unauthentic, bland flavorless.
The guacamole taste like nothing, just avocado. The super hot hot sauce, is just that. No flavor! just hot.
Absolutely disappointed that I wasted my money on this garbage. The location is the only thing good about it.
I should’ve known as there was only three people in the entire restaurant eating.
Chipotle is 10 times better than this garbage.
I’m sure the chef’s eat Taco Bell after work thinking that that’s authentic.

Dog friendly patio, good food and service. A little noisy by 20 Monroe and Van Andel, but good for people watching while you eat. Reasonable prices and friendly service

Myself and a friend went down to El barrio for a light dinner. The restaurant didn’t seem crazy busy, and I wasn’t paying attention to my watch, but it took a considerable time to take our order. Once the order was placed, it took 40 minutes for the order to arrive at our table, and my friends entrée was cold. The waitress apologized, but didn’t really specify what the problem was. Although one menu item was comped, The entire visit was subpar to say the least. Cannot recommend the restaurant and cannot see us going back

I hate this place and will never come back. It is clean and decor is cool but the menu sucks. I felt like I was in school filling out a bubble test and was going to fail if I didn't get it right. Well I failed. I just wanted a taco and nachos and I got a mess of nachos with taco meat and tomatoes all over it. Waitress said I had to fill out bubble sheet and couldn't just take the order. Ibwouldbinsertbcuss words for how frustrated I am but trying to keep it pg.

Having lived in Chicago almost my entire life, this place sort of tripped me up. It’s not a standard taco joint like I’m used to. You order almost like if you’re ordering maki rolls in a sushi house. I was also quite accustomed to ordering tacos and getting 2-3 tacos, some rice, and beans. I opted for the bowl and I had cod. Kinda salty, but overall tasty. I ordered some nachos too. Everything is unconventional which isn’t a bad thing, but it’s definitely different. This place is definitely marketed for the young team. We had a good time, and had good food and service. I can’t complain about anything other than to note it’s not your average taco restaurant.

I went with my girlfriend and her brother to get a quick dinner before going out. I really wanted to like the food because the atmosphere is actually very cool. I respectfully sent my food back after taking 2 bites of 2 seperate tacos. They just didnt taste good. My girlfriends brother also didnt eat his tacos as they tasted bad as well. The waitress came back with the bill and had an attitude with me. I told her I didnt eat the taco and she said I did and wouldnt take it off the bill. I did not like the food, so I didn't eat it, however she insisted that it was fully eaten. This was a really dissapointing experience seeing as how this is a cool spot with lots of potential, but being charged for food I didn't eat is inexcusable.
