Used to love this restaurant! Went there recently and saw that now all of their sandwiches come with chips and you have to upgrade $3 to their fries and signature cheese. The new fries taste like a bag of frozen fries. So disappointing to see such a wonderful restaurant with great service and a great atmosphere totally change their menu. They are known for their beer cheese and now it’s an upgrade. I am hoping they bring back their fries and remove the up charge. Then it would go back to 5 stars!

The food was very good for my whole family except my sandwich, Hot Honey Chicken, was very soggy and I could not eat it. The waitress was nice enough to take it off the bill. Their pretzels and cheese appetizer was wonderful. I also like that they bring a pitcher of water to the table so you can refill glasses a few times without having to wait. Overall a great experience.

I have eaten there twice. The first time I had the bang bang chicken and there was zero spice. Today I had a burger and fries the fries were dry and tasteless and the burger was half the size of the bun. We won’t be back.

First time here and last time. Arrived at 3:30pm for Happy Hour. The place is large and wasn’t busy by any means. We got seated and waited 20min and were never greeted by a single server. We decided to get up and leave…pretty bummed. Every single server looked tired and overwhelmed. Definitely will not be back!

Professional kitchen and service with relaxed vibes and rotating/seasonal specials. Great food and strong drinks. Fresh happy hour specials you can't beat in half the city.. I live on west side but always end up eating here somehow!

So this review is a little different than most. I have dined at this restaurant multiple times and have had good food and good atmosphere. Because of that I wanted to do evening seminars in their back room. Here is the problem. When we get there an hour early for set up we look and nothing is ready. It is still set up from the group last night. I have to say thank God for Nicci because she shows up for her shift and both times just works like crazy to make us feel like a million bucks. Problem is and BIG problem is we book the seminars for Wednesday night. No one tells us it is LIVE MUSIC night. Seriously! Not only do we find that out but I asked is the next Wednesday going to have live music. Answer: No. Show up and guess what LIVE MUSIC. Both times Nicci treats us like kings and does everything she can do. NOT ONCE did management come back and say anything to us but instead made NICCI be the fall guy. Won't do another seminar with them again. I will visit the restaurant but I will only call ahead and ask if Nicci is working so I can have the ultimate service. Hence I gave 4 stars for food but seriously a 2 is deserved for atmosphere if any was attainable. Overall a 3!

Service and atmosphere was excellent. Food was tasty. Only knock on food was fries needed to be fried longer (not as crispy as I like) and my sandwich came with a different sauce than the menu listed.

We grabbed lunch and thought it was okay. I had the Heritage burger and it had an odd after taste, like one of the ingredients were burned (my wife and daughter felt the same way when they tried it). The pulled pork sandwich was good and so was the bang bang pizza (I really enjoyed that, had some good spice to it). Service was sloooow, felt like we were forgotten. Bill was wrong so we had them correct if, still came out wrong compared to the menu prices but at that point we were just ready to leave.

This was our first visit. My husband brought me for my birthday. I would like to say that our waiter was awesome. Very nice guy. I was so excited to go here, but left very disappointed. We both wanted a steak, so we both got the New York strip with mashed potatoes and vegetables. The steak was very dry with no flavor for my husband. My steak was juicy, but, no flavor at all. Our vegetables tasted like chemicals with no flavor other than a chemical taste. For the price of those steaks, I was expecting my mouth to say oh my, this is sooo good. Instead, it was wow, and not a good wow. Our appetizer was REALLY good, though. It was the shrimp and the sauce that came with it was very tasty.
Like I said, waiter was awesome, but our food, was not met. My birthday dinner was a disappointment.
For the cost of our meal, it could and should have been better.
IF we ever return, I hope to write a good review. ❤️

10-15-25: Ordered Scadinavian Shuffle as I remembered it being a good sandwich from the Arnie’s menu. IT WAS AWFUL. Instead of Scandinavian flatbread bread a flour tortilla of questionable quality was substituted. The cook slathered it with mayonnaise, added turkey, a huge amount of greens (enough to make a side salad), NO Cheese as stated on the menu and a drizzle of cucumber sauce that was barely noticeable. It seemed to be a bait and switch in the kitchen: use flour tortilla in place of genuine flatbread, spread mayo that is not listed as an ingredient, ‘forget’ the cheese that is listed, add too much greens, etc. Everything tasted like it was one degree of going bad. A strange, off flavor.
I was with a friend and didn’t want to make her feel uncomfortable so took the remains of the sandwich home.
For those who remember and enjoyed eating at the old Arnie’s Restaurant this place is a failed attempt to update that concept. Perhaps the beer is decent but the food and service is not to be recommended.
