There was a good variety of vegan crepes to choose from. I ordered the pumpkin crepe special which I was unable to get, they came out to check with me as the cream cheese is not vegan. I told them to make me whatever is vegan that they thought would be good, and they brought out my pb & j crepes which were delicious!!! I appreciated their double checking of my dietary needs and thinking on their feet to make me something good.
I've wanted to visit Brown Butter Crêperie for a long time, unfortunately the experience was a bit underwhelming.
Starting with the good things: the building & atmosphere is cool, and all the people were very nice. There's a nice little patio area outside as well if the weather is nice enough.
After ordering, it took quite a long time for us to receive our 2 crêpes (about 30 minutes). The Tuscan is a savory one, and it just didn't have very much flavor. It was also barely warm by the time we got it. The Blueberry looked delicious, but had a funky smell that was a bit of a turn off. Taste wise it was fine, but it was difficult to enjoy with the smell.
We also got a cappuccino and a latte, both were fine, nothing special.
Perhaps we just are not crêpe people and that impacted our experience, or we got unlucky for our particular visit.

Food is actually really good. Very rich and decadent crepes and waffles if you get the sweet options, but the service on the other hand is atrocious. The table behind us got their order much quicker than ours when we were sitting down by the time they started waiting for their table. Truly sad as the food is amazing. Just sucks it takes over an hour to get crepes and a single waffle. ?

We got here for a pretty late lunch. I was a little taken aback by the person who helped us. I felt a "why are you here" vibe that I didn't understand.
I figured out a little bit later that they closed at 3 and we wandered in around 2:20. So I sort of get it.
My wife is a French professor, and she just got done with a medical procedure so we went where she wanted.
Crepes were very good, but a bit pricey. I got the chicken cordon Bleu and my wife got the orchard. Apple cider was great.

Awesome vibe, great food!
Food is good. We asked about silverware and asked to bring us water. The place wasn't busy.

We stopped in on a Sunday at 11am. Cafe was full but there was no line. We ordered and then waited an hour for our food. At one point, there was not a single table with food in the dining room. An entire half hour went by with not a single table being brought food. The food was food when we got it, but too long of a wait and no apology offered for the delay. If there is any line, I would not chance it. They had a bunch of staff working but looked like only a couple crepe makers. Hopefully they can figure out a more efficient way to operate. If food takes more than a half hour, patrons should be notified.

As a first timer, I didn't understand that you have to go to the counter and order food before getting a table (because it's so popular and so busy and soooooo freakin' worth it).
First off, it was absolutely stunning. A very small but quaint and beautiful interior, not a lot of seating, but there were a few tables outside that could also be used.
Secondly, the food was made with love and care. It was completely delectable in every way. I don't think there is a bad thing on the entire menu.
Note: for tea lovers, they do have itty-bitty tea pots that sit on your table for your tea!!!! ?
The staff are fantastic and creative. I absolutely loved my visit. Thank y'all!!

I wanted to give this a good review. I waited over a year to have brunch there over the course of that year. I had gone to their location multiple times during their regular hours, with no avail. There was always a sign on the door stating that it was closed due to staffing issues. By chance this weekend , we were headed out to Real Food Café, but called the crêperie while on the road and they were open. I was so excited!
While the staff was friendly upon our arrival and ordering, the good service stops there. My party and several other tables waited A little less than 1.5 hours for our food. They didn’t appear short-staffed that day there were quite a few workers for such a small establishment. The staff moved at a lackadaisical pace and appeared more interested in socializing, than being attentive to the customers. I also noticed there was only one person making crêpes for the entire restaurant??
The food we ordered was OK. Would I return if they had better service and shorter wait times… I don’t know. Portions were small, my party left hungry.
Hopefully this was just a one off for them, but I highly doubt anyone from our party will be back to find out.

Thicker crepes than usual, but they've really stepped up their game since my last review. The flavors are very strong, and while some elements can be dominant I find myself enjoying whats on their menu. As an added bonus, the lattes here are amazing. They truly have talented baristas. I asked what they'd recommend and it was amazing. Great service, great food. If you want a meal go for a savory crepe and it you're looking for a quick bite the sweet crepes will work great.
Parking: Free street parking on weekends.

A little gem in the Wealthy St. district. Many fresh made crepe options in a nicely appointed historical building. Staff is friendly, ambiance is great and sufficient indoor seating to bring friends or small group / family for a sweet or savory treat.

The food was excellent and I highly suggest the savory crêpes. Espresso drinks were better than average. The wait time for your order is lengthy but well worth the wait.
