Great place but far too popular for it's own good. They don't take reservations, so be ready for well over an hour's wait. The upside of that is they have amazing cocktails, if you can get a seat at the bar. (Try their Manhattans. Yum.)That having been said, once you DO get a seat, the food is incredible. This is one of the more creative and interesting restaurants in Grand Rapids. It accounts for the hours waiting list, but it's worth it if you have patience and room for cocktails. Would be a solid five but for the seriously cattle-call atmosphere.Parking: Parking within three or four blocks, around dinner time.Wheelchair accessibility: Doubtless, they can get wheelchairs through when it's off hours, but there is no way you will be able to navigate the cheek to jowl crowd at dinner. It's daunting even when you just walk through.

Wagu steak wasn't what I expected. The sirloin was better. The caesar salad was the best thing on the menu. The potatoes would have been good if they weren't burned.

We got the pappardelle Bolognese and the smoked ribeye burger. Overall the food was good. The burger was much better than the pasta. Kind of dumb you have to pay extra to get fries with your meal though. We will be back though to try their other options.

Easily the best restaurant in western Michigan. Every single dish I've had over multiple visits has been impeccable. Any time I'm in Grand Rapids, Butcher's Union is a must visit.I had Wagyu steak and she had sea scallop risotto... and wow... both were great but the risotto blew my mind.Parking: Might have to hunt for parking at paid street spots.

We are avid fans of Butchers Union for their dinner service. This was our first experience for brunch. As usual the ambiance and service was impeccable. However, the brunch food was rather plain in flavor and had interesting combinations for some items. Corned beef hash for me is a breakfast favorite and the chunks of corned beef were good however, it was essentially just fried potato pieces with chunks of corned beef. It was then served with Brussel sprouts and banana peppers (I omitted the onion) and it created a liquid in the bottom of the dish. This caused the potatoes to be mushy which was disappointing. The deviled eggs were delicious and my husband enjoyed his huevos rancheros but said it was also lacking seasoning. The cocktail was very tasty We will definitely be back for dinner as usual and may give it another try for brunch to try other items on the menu. Overall it's still a favorite place
The food was absolutely delicious. Service was above and beyond. I highly recommend it for a fantastic dining experience that tantalizes the taste buds and provides a wonderful setting for a memorable meal.

Drinks and food were delicious! I had huevos rancheros and it was awesome! Fresh avocado, feta, eggs over easy, and black beans. I finished it all, and I usually don't clean my plate. My husband got corned beef and loved it. The corned beef was super tender. Can't go wrong here, absolutely give it a try!

got sat around 5:30pm and it started to fill in with quite a lot of people on a tuesday night. i ate the pappardelle bolognese and it was delicious. my partner got the double cheeseburger, and he said it was good. i ate some of his fries and they were very tasty. the lights are dim inside and prices are a bit on the expensive side, but we enjoyed our experience

Always a great experience at Butchers Union. I had the 14oz ribeye and it was delicious. Service is always great with a good atmosphere. I had the Moscow mule and the pain killer to drink both were very good. I have never had a bad experience here
