I work and live in the neighborhood. Love this place. I grab lunch here at about once a week. A 3 piece dark meat combo, always hits the spot.

New York Fried Chicken…🤮 ain’t got nothing on Captain Jays. Plus the young lady behind the counter is always so polite and sweet.

Order 2lb of wings today for the first time from here and it was the best chicken I ever had the lady’s behind the counter were also very kind . The banana pudding was fantastic!

The food is pretty good for a chicken fish fry. Just can't eat in there, you have to order and go. The people working there are very nice.

Waited 2 hours after we called it in ahead of time when I did receive my food it didn’t have any of the crack seasoning on it fish was undercooked and it tasted like everything is cooked in the same grease

In the area from a few towns away for my son's soccer game and I decided we'd give it a try. Yeah building could use some work and it's location isn't in the nicest part of G.R. BUT!!!! The food is amazing!!! Great tasting chicken love that seasoning!! My son said that's the best tilapia he's ever had! The portions are huge! The staff was great! The fryer charge was different but I didn't mind... Would definitely go back! Keep up the good work!

Terrible food, broken/ partial wings, no attention paid to quality

I live 2 minutes away from captain Jay's and I will never ever go there again. I go ALL the way to Cousins on Leonard. Way better atmosphere and service. Captain jaysfood is good but at what cost. Too many bad experiences here. Horrible customer service. They will take your order then make you wait til u FORGET what u ordered. The wait is unbelievable. Small orders, big orders it doesn't matter. These peoples whole goal is to piss u off and make u wait all day for the WRONG order. I know this now. Don't waste your time & money. They don't care either way. It's not just me. I think they have a vendetta against everyone I know. Everyone having the same horrible experience is not a good look for a public establishment.
