Stopped here for dinner on Saturday (October 19th). Solid pub grub. We had Bang Bang Shrimp, Big Chuck Burger, and the walleye sammich. Everything was hot and tasted good. I enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere. Nice and casual.

Love this place, and the staff! You must try the homemade Mozzarella sticks!! The nachos, burgers, ribs and the Dagwoods are among my personal favorites!!

Charlies is our favorite place to eat in grandrapids. It doesn't look like much from the outside but man.... once you get inside they have great food, delicious alcoholic beverages.
Charlie walks around with a basket that has candies in it she gives to the kiddos when they come in. The staff is always very attentive.
My daughter loves ordering a cherry coke with extra cherries in it.
10 out of 10 I recommend this place.
Its Great for both family dinners and date nights.
Kid-friendliness: They give the kids a piece of candy when they come in.
I've never had a bad experience here with my daughter.

Our server was very oddly hostile to us when we asked a question about Lunch vs Dinner pricing. She couldn't answer our question and became weirdly offended. She then brought out some woman from the kitchen, who also could not answer the question.
When our food came, the fries were very good. The burger, not my favorite. I wrongly assumed it would be a hand made burger Patty. It was like a Gordon Foods burger. The toppings, one piece of lettuce and a hot house tomato.
The server, within earshot told the people next to us that we were being difficult. We only asked a question.
The reviews are great so why such a bad experience?
First time there. Will never go back.

Sometimes a place that feels like home is in the place you least expect. Some might see a bar at the end of a strip mall next to an old streetwear store and assume the worst, but Charlie's goes above and beyond to feel like a proper neighborhood bar, even when the neighborhood might feel a little disjointed. It helps that the staff greet and treat you like family. Of course, another thing that helps is that Charlie's has a scratch kitchen in the back, which lets them serve a platitude of interesting things to their customers. My go-to would probably be the Jucy Lucy with tater tots. Highly recommend to anyone in the Northview area.

Honestly, always an amazing time when I come in here. They have that small town homely feel that you don't get when you go to these corporate owned restaurants! The staff are so beyond welcoming and you can tell everybody loves doing what they do. If you want to feel welcomed and wanted, definitely come to Charlie's! Shout out to Jodie and Tracy for the outstanding customer service and the most relatable, personable experience I've had. A person could easily become a regular here. Feels like home!
