Stopped here for dinner on Saturday (October 19th). Solid pub grub. We had Bang Bang Shrimp, Big Chuck Burger, and the walleye sammich. Everything was hot and tasted good. I enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere. Nice and casual.
Charlies is our favorite place to eat in grandrapids. It doesn't look like much from the outside but man.... once you get inside they have great food, delicious alcoholic beverages.
Charlie walks around with a basket that has candies in it she gives to the kiddos when they come in. The staff is always very attentive.
My daughter loves ordering a cherry coke with extra cherries in it.

Sometimes a place that feels like home is in the place you least expect. Some might see a bar at the end of a strip mall next to an old streetwear store and assume the worst, but Charlie's goes above and beyond to feel like a proper neighborhood bar, even when the neighborhood might feel a little disjointed. It helps that the staff greet and treat you like family. Of course, another thing that helps is that Charlie's has a scratch kitchen in the back, which lets them...
