thoughtfully made, reminds me of old school Chinese takeout. Generous with the helpings and toppings. Lunch portion is great. fried rice is great with Mongolian bf. Im an egg drop soup girly, this only place that makes really good sweet n sour soup. the service is always friendly and kind. The bakery is really cute, the buns are tasty and very instagram worthy

If I could give them more stars, I would. Have ordered delivery lunch twice now and it was perfect each time. The food arrived hot, flavorful, and fast. The egg roll was actually the best I’ve ever had and I thought about it for weeks afterward. Overall great food experience. Thanks China City!

They used to have really great food, but, our last takeout was not good. My wife ordered Hot and sour soup which had about an eighth of an inch of grease on the top...I had sweet and sour chicken...granted, it had a generous amount of chicken, but only 2 small pieces of pineapple, and maybe 3 pieces of onion and green pepper. Very disappointed. Even the fortune cookies were very stale.

The food is AMAZING!!! I picked up my order and noticed they had a display case with different buns they make as well. They were so fluffy and delicious. We will definitely be back.

I’ve ordered from here twice and I consider this my go-to place for Chinese food. The food is always hot when I receive it and the people there are very nice. On one of my orders, there was an issue that wasn’t their fault AT ALL but they still fixed it very quickly and kindly. Great variety of menu options too!

Food is crazy good. I ordered the Sweet & Sour Combo with Plain Fried Rice. (I tried the Monroe Ave.& Leonard St. location and i will not go back. Its not the same and service was poor)

Restaurantji Recommends
Ordered delivery so can't rate anything but the food.
FRIED rice wasn't FRIED
White rice soaked in soy sauce isn't fried rice.
General Tso chicken is alright, but I have had better flavor from the food court at the mall or even frozen food section at meijer. But still decent enough to eat.
Sweet and Sour eh take it or leave it, but advice would be for the company to invest in proper container for the sauce, not just in a paper box wrapped in plastic
For me, this place is not recommended

The worst sesame chicken I've ever had! Reminds me of high school lunch I'm highly disappointed and wish I could get a refund !
I’m trying to figure out how this restaurant has such a high rating.
I ordered take out once on April 17 at 12:30 pm. I ordered sweet and sour chicken without even looking at the menu. I was charged $13.35.
I glanced though the paper menu while waiting which says the lunch price sweet is sour chicken is $9.99. It also says I can have fried rice or white rice and the meal is served with an egg roll or 2 crab Rangoon. I wasn’t given any of these options at the time of ordering.
When I got home and unpacked my lunch I was given white rice. Neither crab Rangoon nor an egg roll were included. On top of them charging me more than the advertised price, advertised items were omitted from my order. Perhaps people only get the extras if they dine in? If thats the case they should be articulated.
The food was disgusting. The chicken was dry. The sauce tasted weird and was packed in a carton instead of plastic container with a proper kid. The rice was lumped together. I ate a few pieces and threw it away. This was some of the worse Chinese food I’ve ever had. Never again.
Great place, Great food, and Great service. The free rolls with meals are delicious.
Chinese food was alright. Rice tasted dry the day after.
