The choo-choo grill is an endangered species. A throwback to a simpler time where Food wasn't trying to be cutting edge but instead just focused on being delicious. The choo-choo grill is your classic American diner. Serving up both breakfast and lunch the food is not fancy, but it is made with love And is made well. The interior is small two booths and counter seating only. What is probably most remarkable, though is that you're only a stranger there once. Every time we dine in, I am amazed at the number of regulars and repeat customers. What's even more impressive that they are remembered by the staff in return. There's terrific community connection going on within this small brick building. Rick, Kathy and Mary do a fantastic job making you feel welcome while simultaneously keeping your coffee mug filled and your order out to you fast. My personal go to is always the cakes and more there is something about a fluffy pancake hot off the flat top that is just magical and don't you dare leave without trying one of their malts ! The chocolate peanut butter is to die for! Currently the building is for sale, so who knows how much time we'll have left before the last train pulls out of the station, so get in and enjoy it while you can.

Great food at a great price! I tried the depot burger with chili on the side and my wife got a ham and Swiss melt. Everything was excellent!

The best breakfast I've had in a very long time reminded me of my grandma's. We also went back for lunch because we heard they had the best burgers. My husband tried the olive burger and was very happy with it, and my cheeseburger was very good. Chili was yummy, too! It's very small but cozy and staff was great! Highly recommended checking out!

Love the mom & pop feel of this diner. Owners are fun. The food was great too. The mushroom & swiss melt and pb chocolate malt were the favorites among the group.

Old school diner with very friendly service. This place is usually busy with small counter and a few small tables. The burger plate was very traditional, one of the few places where they ask how you want it cooked. I ordered this 1/2 pound burger as medium but it came medium-well. Still tasted good though.

I had the chance to stop by for lunch one afternoon with a friend, and it was like a pleasant trip back in time. Diners like this are pretty rare nowadays. The service was quick, and the decor was cozy with a train theme. The root beer came in a frosted mug, and the food was delicious. I had the chili and an olive burger, and they were both great. Lots of olive flavor in the burger gave it a salty, savory flavor that’s hard to put down. I really wish I knew about this place earlier.
