Old-fashioned diner located near airport. Stopped by before flight for breakfast. Friendly staff and great cooks. Food was delicious and reasonably priced. Will be back for burger and malt.

I came here with a few close friends to have lunch & milkshakes. There were no other customers in the diner at the time so as we waited for our meals, we wanted to take a few pictures by the high top counter. The owner (I presume) came out from the kitchen yelling at us saying that people usually pay $100 to take photos at a studio and that we needed to “hurry up” and sit back down. He went on and on about it like it was some huge ordeal. Keep in mind, these were not professional photos whatsoever, these were taken on an iPhone 11. The rest of the time we felt extremely uncomfortable after the interaction.

Owner was very rude and turned away customers for taking a quick picture outside before stopping in for lunch. Do not recommend.

This place is such a Precious Jewel! Not only is it super cute, fantastic chief!, fantastic staff and the food was beyond great! We moved here from California and never thought we'd find a cool place like this! I'm Mexican and this place has better Mexican food then any other"Mexican"restaurant in GR. We will diffidently be back!!!

I came here with my sister and mother for brunch. I ordered the club sandwich, my sister ordered the chilaquiles and mom got a basic breakfast. Everything came out hot and sooooo delicious! My mom and I tried my sisters chilaquiles and we loved them! They were definitely not made with canned sauce. Pretty hard to believe that a diner can make authentic chilaquiles but we were pleasantly impressed. My club sandwich was massive! It had fresh avocado slices and quality bacon. The fries were crispy and fresh! My mother had 2 slices of bacon, eggs, hash browns and toast. This place beyond exceeded our expectations and we will be returning soon!

I've been here twice now...and never been disappointed. First time was an out to lunch bunch trip with our residents last summer. Second time was this morning with my husband. Food is amazing, staff are wonderful and the owner Dan is very personable! Very cool 50's diner.

Homemade veggie burger was full of fresh veggies and flavorful. Spicy chicken sandwich also recommended. Kudos to the chef. Not diner food which was a great surprise. Nice outdoor deck.

Had the country fried steak and it was so great. Never had one like that before. I can't wait to go back again.

Just had the best brunch with my girlfriends. I had a side of the corn beef hash ...sweet peppers and onions and was just to die for, and the brioche French toast. I had a delicious Bloody Mary and a cold Oberon. My friend had the goat cheese omelet, and the other the country steak. Erika took great care of us- attentive and a spunky. This place has a great atmosphere. Very pleased and look forward to coming back again soon. My only suggestion would be to lean into the retro vibe and play some 60s music. Thank you for a wonderful experience, Dan's!

I love this place. The best diner in Grand Rapids. It is in a old 40's luncheonette. So chrome and linoleum are clean and polished and it looks great. The real star of the show is the food. Brisket eggs Benedict, Lemon Pancakes, and scratch made corn beef hash and sandwiches are our favorites. The lemon pancakes are moist and sweet, and the best in town. They have a fluffy and creamy texture, which is not easy to pull off. Service is always friendly and quick.

Went in today to check out the place and try the food. While there we were planning on taking a couple pictures. The owner came over with no mask on to where we were and yelled at us saying what do you think you’re doing? “You people” think you can come in here and do what you want. You can’t take pictures in here. I charge $100 an hour for pictures. We were actually about to order food and needless to say, we left. It wasn’t work the fight. I can’t change the color of my skin but I didn’t know that the ugly decor and the staff were stuck in the 60s.

The pancakes were absolutely delicious and very filling. My grandmother got the French toast and she said it was some of the best she's ever had. They also had some strawberry jam which they make fresh every morning that was to die for. The service was great and the staff was super friendly. I could definitely see myself coming back there!

Discovered this hidden jewel yesterday by accident. It has a real neat old school vibe, but more importantly the food was great and service was awesome considering how short staffed they were at the time. I ordered the Cuban while my wife ordered the mile high club. Very happy, and apparently they serve breakfast all day. Fantastic Cascade area diner! Hidden behind Capriotti's on 28th st SE.

Props to our waiter Adrian and the other girl there. they were so nice! But, dan, he was yelling at the waiters non stop, wasn't wearing a mask and was no joke, a male karen. If it wasn't for Adrian being so nice and the food being decent. i would give this place 0 stars for dans poor management.
