Distinctive Catering was delightful to work with! We booked them for hors d'oeuvres, a plated dinner, and open bar service. The food was delicious, beautifully presented, and served by the sweetest staff members. The bar service was equally amazing, and the entire team was friendly, organized, and attentive. They made sure everything flowed smoothly and that everyone was happy and well-fed!

Distinctive Catering provided dinner for our wedding in June 2025 (fajitas). The food was the best we had ever had at a large event, and multiple guests said it was the best fajitas they had ever eaten! Service was fantastic at our event, and customer service and coordination of our event was painless and efficient! Thank you, Distinctive Catering, for being a part of our big day!

I had trouble getting local (Muskegon) places to respond to my requests for catering so I turned to Distinctive Catering. Kristin was quick to respond and answer all of my questions. Their food tasting events are genius.
The food was amazing and staff did a good job setting up and serving the food.
My only negative comment is that they parked their van at the entry to the venue and were using it for phone and smoke breaks. I had to ask them to move it which they quickly did. I still would use them again for future events.

We used Distinctive Catering for our wedding food, and oh boy was it delicious. We unfortunately were too overwhelmed and not very hungry during dinner at our wedding and left our plates full, but the food was amazing even as leftovers (which we have a ton of)! We chose the signature buffet with full level of service-- they set up the tables with linen napkins, salads, bread/butter, and quality flatware and water goblets. It looked great! The staff released everyone table-by-table and everything flowed smoothly. Definitely recommend going to a tasting event before your wedding/event, as we did change our mind about a few things after trying them: we upgraded to the herb chicken because it was so delicious, and switched to redskin potatoes over mashed potatoes because we did not like the taste of the mashed potatoes. The pulled pork and bbq meatballs are also 10/10. Overall a great experience!

We used Distinctive Catering for both our food and bar services and OH. MY. GOSH! From the beginning they were so amazing to work with; great communication and teamwork. They made our planning process so much easier. Wedding day they did not disappoint! The food was absolutely delicious, the staff kept the food area and bar area so clean, the staff themselves were so respectful and friendly as well. We cannot say enough great things! We highly highly recommend using them for any and all events

Distinctive Catering provided food for The Dock Urban Youth Ministries' 20th birthday party. The food was delicious, the servers were quick and friendly, and the price was very fair. DC helped The Dock plan out the event and gave us good advice. Event guests were very happy with the appetizers and meal.

We used Distinctive Catering for our daughter's wedding reception, and it was amazing. Any questions we had before the wedding were answered quickly and thoroughly. The staff on-site the day of the wedding were friendly and helpful. The food was incredibly good with many guests still commenting on it being the best food they have had at a wedding. Would highly recommend using them!!!

Distinctive Catering was a 10/10 find. They were quick to respond and answer questions, had no problem traveling to my location and provided the best staff. The food and drinks were exactly what I wanted and SO good! I didn’t get to talk to the catering staff that much, but the bar staff was amazing. They had no problem monitoring possibly problematic guests and making sure we had a great time. Chaya and Tyler both deserve a raise! Thank you for making our day so perfect!

Distinctive Catering was so responsive, professional, and pleasant to work with - - from my first email to the catered work event, they were top notch. The food was excellent, and I heard many positive comments after the event. I would not hesitate to recommend them for your special event.

We used Distinctive Catering for our wedding in October and they were so amazing. They answered all of my questions and concerns very quickly and were very professional. The food was amazing & we got so many compliments on good it was! The staff at the venue were even very professional and helpful. Even packed up our leftovers at the end for us.

Distinctive Catering was amazing to work with. I emailed countless questions leading up to my wedding they catered and they always responded promptly and professionally. They were so easy to work with. DC also provided an extra table cloths even though we requested very close to our wedding date. Not only was the service great, the food was delicious. We went with the pasta/Italian buffet option and everything tasted great. I received multiple compliments from guests about how good the food was. Would definitely recommend Distinctive Catering for your event.
