Distinctive Catering did the catering for my wedding. The food was tasty, I also enjoyed that we were able to have a free tasting before booking with them. The food on the day of the wedding wasn't quite as good as teh food on the tasting day - but that is to be expected with buffet food serving 80 people. Everything with the food went off perfectly. They managed the buffet, kept everything clean, were kind to my guests, ensured me and my husband were taken care of, and eve took care of my cake for me. One highlight was that they boxed up leftovers and we got to take those home.

All in all - I would recommend them to anyone getting married.

Used them for our annual fundraiser, and they did a great job! I appreciated their flexibility allowing me to add another vegan plate the day of the event, as well as working with me on numbers and having the option to add linens, china, and a full three entree buffet. The staff was great, very helpful and easy to work with. I appreciated their professionalism, and willingness to help out. They even offered to take the linens back for us at the end of the night. Will keep Distinctive Catering in my back pocket for future events!

If I could give Distinctive Catering zero stars, I would. Our wedding on October 11, 2025 was supposed to be a seamless, well-coordinated event - especially after months of planning, countless emails, and repeatedly clarifying our expectations. Unfortunately, the bar service fell so far below what we were promised and paid for that it truly impacted our night.

To start, Distinctive ran out of vodka by around 10:00 - 10:30 PM, nearly two full hours before our wedding ended. We told Distinctive Catering over and over again that our guest group consisted of heavy drinkers / party people and that running out of alcohol was our number one concern. Despite this, it still happened.

Next, the staffing was unacceptable. We requested four, preferably five, bartenders for our approximately 260-guest wedding. We were told that their rule of thumb was to have one bartender for every 50 guests. Instead, we had three, and for most of the night it looked like only two were actively taking orders. The lines were long and constant, exactly what we tried to avoid.

We also experienced serious issues with one bartender in particular. He was pouring extremely light drinks, giving guests (including our maid of honor) a hard time about ordering, and at one point told our maid of honor she couldn’t get another drink until she “finished what was in her cup.” The most upsetting moment, though, involved my brother, the best man, who was being deployed with the Navy the next day. My brother went up to the bar to order a drink and already had an encounter with this bartender earlier in the night because of something that my brother had nothing to do with. After pouring his drink with a look of disgust, my brother simply walked away. Then, my brother’s friend, who ordered next, mentioned to the bartender that my brother was leaving the next day to be deployed. The bartender responded, “Good, because I was about to cut him off.” My brother was not intoxicated, and the comment was inappropriate, unprofessional, and frankly offensive.

To make matters worse, we later learned that the buffet ran out of meat before all tables were able to serve themselves, another disappointment to add to the list.

But what has made this entire situation even more disappointing is the complete lack of communication from Distinctive Catering. When they needed payment from us, we received instant responses and fast follow-ups. Yet as soon as we reached out with concerns after the wedding, the communication stopped cold. I emailed detailed feedback explaining exactly what went wrong, and five business days passed with no reply. I sent a follow-up, and still nothing. The silence speaks volumes about their priorities.

Between the alcohol shortage, understaffing, unprofessional bartender behavior, missing food at the buffet, and now the refusal to even respond to legitimate concerns, I would strongly caution anyone considering Distinctive Catering. Overall, going through Distinctive left us disappointed, frustrated, and feeling ignored after investing a significant amount of money into this company.

I truly regret choosing Distinctive Catering, and I wouldn’t want another couple to experience what we went through. If you’re looking for someone to cater your event, don’t both with this company.

We had Distinctive Catering do our wedding a few weeks ago, and they were amazing! The food was perfect, the service was impeccable. We couldn't have asked for better. They were helpful and responsive throughout the process leading up to our big day, and they went above and beyond the day of. We would absolutely use them again!

Distinctive Catering did not disappoint! Drinks came out quickly, pours seemed reasonable. Very accommodating group that did a great job with our specialty drinks (named after our cats). I would recommend them for anyone's wedding.

Distinctive Catering catered our daughter's wedding and they were amazing to work with. The food was fabulous. Ramsey and his crew went above and beyond to make sure everything was easy for us and pleasant for our guests. We were running 30 minutes early and they were able to adjust. The staff was very helpful when I asked for assistance. Highly, highly recommend.

Our wedding was 9/20/2025 and we used distinctive catering and bar services. Below is a snap shot of what its like to work with this company. Dont bother attempting to resolve issues afterwords, the owner is as mute and unbothered as the staff:

First, our ceremony sound was cut out in the middle of our pastor giving his message, and we later found out it was due to the cord being yanked out of the wall in the pavillion by the bartenders. No idea if it was in their way, or what the reasoning was, but to do this without consulting the venue owner in the first place was incredibly poor taste, and to continue to stand there and do nothing when they could VERY clearly hear the change in the microphone as soon as they pulled it out, is absurd. This will forever be what we remember about our ceremony, and it was completely avoidable had your staff been more considerate.

Next, we were not served what we ordered. Our final email shows we chose duchess potatoes, as did the menus we printed for each seat, and we were served mashed. While most guests didnt notice, we as bride and groom were very disappointed by this oversight.

Also, the dessert bar had about half of what is advertised - no cheesecakes, no dessert bars, was served in plastic to go containers. I was pretty embarrassed by this display and upset as cheesecake was what made us want to add this in the first place.

Even more embarrassing, and frustrating - were the drinks. I work for an events center, i know there are rules in place, but there is absolutely no way that we were being served even an ounce of liquor per drink. The night of, and over a week after, this is the overwhelming feedback we are receiving from guests.

Last, a drinking glass was dropped near our dance floor during clean up by a staff member. I was standing right near where it happened, so I watched a second to make sure it was handled, but quickly realized no one was going to say a word. Another staff member grabbed a bunch of glow sticks and made a fake line on the floor, but that was the extend of the action taken. I myself eventually told the DJ to announce it to keep guests away, and when i turned around I was met with the same girl who fumbled the glass on my concrete floor holding my 8 year old niece by the wrist and attempting to yell at her to move. There are multiple witnessed to this event.

The entire day of team lacked hospitality and professionalism. I couldn't tell you a single persons name - even the bartenders. They did nothing to make us feel special as bride and groom, in fact there was not a work spoken to us from a single person on staff.

Do not waste your money or time on this company, especially if for your wedding day.

We used Distinctive Catering for our cocktail hour and dinner on our wedding day. We had such a great experience and have received SO many compliments on both the food and service. We ordered the smoked chicken and beef tips with mushroom sauce, as well as the potatoes, green beans, Greek pasta salad, kielbasa, and potato salad. Everything was delicious and this was by far the most flavorful and tasty food I've ever had at a wedding. Additionally, the servers went above and beyond to be kind and helpful to all of the guests. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for a caterer.
