I like spicy food so Mexican is one of my favorites. What my wife and I discovered was that El Agave specializes in bland Mexican food. Neither of us could detect any spice or flavor (sabroso). The staff was friendly and service was good and fast. The atmosphere is nice in a faux Mexican way. So it just comes down to a person's tastes, if you like bland Mexican food you could love this place.
Good service and clean, nice decor. But the food is bland. Very bland. The chicken in the enchiladas etc tasted like boiled chicken, no onion, pepper or any flavoring. No options for ordering a la carte, so it can be difficult to get just what you want if you want a mix of things. Better options in the area.
We have always had great experiences here! The staff is great and the food is delicious! They must be doing something right to have so many regulars, ourselves included. Not sure which tequila to try? Ask Gabby! Try the skinny margarita - made fresh, all citrus is hand pressed at the bar.
