This place has really gone down hill. The food is still great but I happened to dine in and found things in bad shape. The doors and windows look like they haven’t been washed in months. The bathroom has almost no functional lights, missing ceiling tiles and generally disgusting. They only took cash while I was there. Next time I’ll hit the drive through, eat the fajitas and try to forget what I saw inside.

My fiancee's favorite restaurant! He grew up eating here all the time and he must get the dry burritos every time we're in town!

Tuesday/Thursday specials are my favorite. Buy one get one free burritos. Yum, what more can I say.

I've been going there for over 20 years. Usually for a fast lunch that doesn't include fries. The dry burrito is my go to lunch favorite, but I also love the wet burrito, or tacos. Good Tex-Mex food.

DONT COME HERE ! The food was bad, tortillas were cold, ordered steak and received ground beef, ordered chicken quesadilla and they had no chicken.... people up front left our food on the check out counter without saying a word.. they only had 3 beverage choices available. This is like a Taco Bell not authentic Mexican food.

I grew up eating at El Sombrero. I love the food. I am disappointed that they are not open later on the weekends. This used to be a hotspot for after 12am eats. Now you’re closed at 10pm?!? Would be nice to grab a bite after a night out at a concert or event.

I ordered a dirty Marshall or whatever it’s called with Beef today and let me tell y’all I’ve at wet burritos here before and this one right here was amazing sauce was flavorful! It was definitely cheesy and the cashier was helpful! Whoever cooked these burritos and sauce today you popped off ❤️

Love this place. Have been enjoying their 2 for 1 Dry deluxe burrito since the 80''s. Best burritos- any flavor.

El sombrero is a pillar of the westside. Great Tex-Mex food. Hot sauce is the best. Couldn't recommend more for tasty affordable food ??

I am 59 years old and I'm going to El Sombrero for a long time. But this is the first time I've ever felt like I've been ripped off. The burrito was filled with nothing but dough little bit of lettuce and very little hamburger and was supposed to be a deluxe wet burrito. So disappointed. And yeah the parking lot is a shitshow been that way for a long time.

I had never been here but I know it's been around for a long time so I wanted to give it a try. My partner and I got a chicken fajita, chicken hard taco, chicken tostada, chips with salsa, and a Coke to drink. The tostada was very tasty and the chips were light and crunchy with good seasoning. The food was hot, freshly put together, and severed politely. Unfortunately, that's where the good part of my review ends. The chicken fajita was more of a chicken fajita burrito, which is actually a decent idea for a drive through, but I think of fajita chicken as being very flavorful and this was not. The peppers and onions within the fajita burrito were cooked through but they lacked any grilled/seared flavor and seemed like they were blanched and then slid around a flat top to reheat. They put too much of the typical TexMex cheese blend inside and also added lettuce which just gets soggy from the heat of everything. My partner thought her taco was just ok, but didn't have much else to say other than that. If you want cheaply made TexMex there are other places in the city that would accommodate you with overall better food.

Been going to El Sombrero for 39 years. I always get the same thing. A dry deluxe burrito. Taste just as good as it did in 1983 !! Cant thank my friend enough for showing me this place.
