Ok where do I begin? First off the price point is beyond stupid! Very expensive for average food. We paid 50.00 for two people Then we were asked to tip at the moment of payment that's completely backwards. Gave a 5 dollar tip for no service? They got us on that one. Food came and we got the same order portion sizes were completely different one plate was full the other was less than half full. It was so bad I had to say something! The waiter guy was like wow yeah that's crazy and did nothing about it! Had to get our drinks ourselves when they called our name out lol..... no comment on that. Service sucks, food is average, price is ridiculous!!!! Don't waste your time with this place not worth it at all. I gave two stars because the food was average that's the only reason.

I was here to purchase some items as I always do when I come down to the downtown market. Yesterday, however was not a good experience. I walk over and the guy is on the phone. Ok, I wait patiently for him to get off the phone. There is a woman in the back looking right at me. She has not come to help me. Another lady comes up (she was Caucasian) and the lady in the back takes off her apron and comes up and helps her. At this moment I am just like " I was here first." The female employee then responds and says " You are fine. Her order is small and you can wait." Wow I am appalled at this. I can wait but the white woman cannot wait. Smh.

Excellent bread that isn't even close to being expensive. I'm seriously shocked at how cheap the bread here is, considering it's very high quality.

Try some of everything until you are full that's what I did.

I love their croisants and love their bread. But I don't like flies... In this photo there are 2 big flies comfortably sitting on pastry and there are about a dozen little fruit flies that are everywhere. I have seen these flies here on several occasions in August and even asked their workers why there were flies sitting on the pastry. It seems people working there are chill and relaxed about insects at their bakery. I guess the workers feel compassionate for the hungry insects... But if seriously, I hope they can fix this, I would be glad to get back one day! They need those blie light zappers killing flies. I haven't seen any!

I got their Turkey Club sandwich and LOVED it. I had heard so much about this place so I was really curious to try out their food. Honestly, I am not a huge sandwich person, but if I heard a sandwich shop is good, I'll try it. The sandwich was cut in half and had their Michigan Turkey, bacon, avocado, and other veggies that you can read in their menu. The turkey was really delicious - like, really, REALLY delicious. It was so flavorful and soft. And the veggies like avocado, tomatoes, and lettuce tasted so fresh. I got it with sourdough bread, which was really good. It was a bit tough to put the whole sandwich in your mouth because of the crusty crusts (lol), so I just resorted to eating it with a fork and a knife (very proper). The food came out rather quickly, and the service was very sweet, friendly and down to earth. Ambience was great! Casual and friendly. There is street parking - usually, it's not too difficult to find parking around this area. But maybe I just get lucky, I don't know. If it's a good day, you can walk around and enjoy the scene with the river and park!

A cute little cafe in downtown Grand Rapids, where we came after being disappointed with our hotel breakfast situation. Unfortunately, they had very slow service, weak and underroasted coffee, and mediocre pastries. The service might have just been because there was a lot of staff in training that morning, but I doubt that they are going to train the coffee.

Every time I visit the Downtown Grand Rapids Market, I always buy bread and/or other treats from Field & Fire. Absolutely delicious bread and baked goods. I highly recommend this place. If you are in the Market, be sure to pick up goodies from this great spot!

We come to Grand Rapids from detroit, Mostly to visit the public market, eat at fish lads, shop at spice merchants, and get bread at Field and Fire. I LOVE the frankenstein breads. You never know what kind of mix your going to end up with. The scones are delicious. The croissants are so flaky. I wish they were in detroit. Im waiting, patiently. Lol

This is our GO-TO place for breakfast, pastries and bread! We got some of their sourdough starter for home baked bread, but nothing beats their loaves. And a Box of Happy makes us so...happy!!!

Great local bakery located in side Market Place. My tip is to try the samples before ordering bread with many options it helps you decide what you like.
