Stopped in for lunch after a mid morning walk along the river. Tried their lunch special 1/2 grilled cheese with the lentil soup and a caramel carrot cake latte, everything was delicious. Service was on point from the barista, counter help to the cooks in the back. The place was packed, I sat at the counter, had to wait for people to get up before taking a seat-standing room only. There's everything on the menu-coffee, pastries, toasts, breakfast, sandwiches, bowls, salads, soups. Nice place. Visiting from VA on spring break.

Amazing bread and very fresh ingredients. I really love the vegan options, especially the tofu sandwich. The flavors of the seasoned tofu, mushrooms, and sauce work so well together! Definitely one of my favorite sandwiches in GR. They also support their community by selling local art and other goods. Highly recommend this spot, for vegan food and for everyone else too

I went here for coffee and chai with friends. It was quite crowded and confusing on where the line started. It was slow and took several minutes of us standing for them to make a couple drinks. My friend got a dirty chai and said it was flavorless and watery for $8.25 it was totally overpriced. My regular chai was not good. Tasted just like milk and had tons of ice. The size medium was tiny. My friends mouth hurts after drinking it.

If you have an onion sensitivity/Allergy do NOT go here. Poorly labelled menu. All potatoes are cooked with onions and it's only marked on some dishes that include potatoes. So frustrating!
This delightful little cafe was a short walk from where we were staying. The chai was delicious as was the toast with butter and jam. I also had a side of bacon that was perfect!

We had an excellent experience for breakfast. The food was prepared perfectly with fresh ingredients. My latte was as good as any I've had. The staff was friendly and it made for the perfect place to have breakfast while we were visiting Grand Rapids. (And I liked that they are environmentally conscientious.)

I am OBSESSED with field & fire!! This has been my mom's go-to bakery for baguettes (she is very picky about her bread), and we recently started to come here for brunch. The grilled cheese, english muffin sando, butternut squash soup, farmers market harvest bowl, and croissants are all fantastic! Everything we've tried is so yummy, I'm looking forward to working my way through the menu??
