Absolutely one of my favorite restaurants all around! As being a lover of all things New Orleans, this place captures EVERYTHING about the Big Easy - from the music to the environment … and the food is AMAZING!!
“Authentic” is an understatement. We had the jambalaya, red beans & rice and gumbo. You won’t find it any more authentic unless you were actually down in NOLA! Raphael and Jessica (owners) have created something very special in downtown GR. Go get yourself something special and get down there!

Great food and amazing staff! The flavors are so good I’ve made it a point to try as much of the menu as I can. Not pictured is the shrimp and crawfish dip…it was flavorful but didn’t allow the crawfish to overpower and the French bread was perfect.

We had the jambalaya and gumbo, both were so good and flavorful. The portion size is great and the atmosphere is so cute. The entire staff were so friendly and helpful being that this was our first time in. It won’t be our last, I’m hooked.

We were at Garden District last night. The food and cocktails were absolutely amazing! Our server Brook and all of the other staff were fast, friendly, and on point. We shared the BBQ shrimp, beignets, and the seafood platter. Everything was fresh, hot, and delicious. The high octane daiquiri was excellent! We will definitely be back soon to check out the rest of the menu! 🍤 🦐 🦀 🎭 🍸 🧉 🍷 💜💚💛
Rude overpriced
Excellent meal. The food tastes so authentic and service was excellent. I was here for lunch and had the catfish po’ boy and etouffee - both were incredible. It’s very evident that the owner takes great pride in this establishment. Highly recommend!!

Had a dinner reservation for a large group a few months back and everyone seemed pleased with the food and service! Appetizers and drinks were were out quick and the food has some definite heat. There was a bit of a wait for the entrees, but that's to be expected with a group of 12.
My only real criticism is that they need to offer more bread with the bbq shrimp to sop up the sauce!

We absolutely loved the place. The food was so good, and Stephanie took great care of us. SOMEONE in our group had almost everything on the menu and we all traded bites, so we all got a chance to taste it. The sauce that comes with the Audubon Crawfish Beignets, Garden District Dip, and the Fried Seafood Platter is epicurean gold!

Outstanding. Stopped in for lunch on Sunday and we were absolutely delighted with this place. We had the mussels, etoufee, and red beans & rice. The mussels came in a very creamy red sauce, the etoufee was nice and spicy, and the beans & rice were packing an unbelievable amount of flavor. Service was warm and helpful without being overbearing, and chef came out to check on us during our meal. Love details like that.
Garden District is bringing some serious flavor to the table in a city that, let's face it, is not as adventurous with its food as it used to be in the 2010s. This place is a gem, and an instant favorite for us.

The food was amazing. The etouffee was flavorful but incredibly spicy to the point where I was sweating (and I can handle my spice). The dish didn’t have a warning on the menu, so be careful! The jambalaya was also good. Both were good portions and pretty large! BBQ shrimp for appetizer was good, but kind of small for the price and only 6 pieces.
We did have to wait a while to get our check for a while even though the serve only had 1-2 other tables and we were some of the only people in there during lunch, so be weary that you shouldn’t go here if you’re looking for a quick bite (it took a while for our food, also). We ordered right away and were still there for over an hour.
Overall, great food though! They seem busy at night, so we might have gone during the slow lunch and they were more casual.
