I want to first start by thanking Margaritte for her amazing customer service! She was extremely helpful and has ensured that we will be revisiting in the near future. Overall, the food was top tier and the atmosphere was unlike any other.. 10/10 great experience!

Stop tearing with my mom and we had smashburgers they were delicious.

Laid back vibes and good food. I found it interesting that the sandwiches had tenders in them rather than a filet but still very good. Also get the banana pudding, it’s worth it!

Love the Hot Fried Chicken! The pickles and BBQ Baked Beans are awesome too! I always have good, friendly service. I have been coming here since the day they opened and have not had one negative experience. Every menu I've tried has been delicious.

If you love fried chicken done right, with or without the spicy heat, I highly recommend giving Hancock a try!

If Liam and Isaac didn't work here this place would crumble faster than the roman empire. Hand these gentlemen the key to the city.

This place used to be good. It’s not anymore. 6pm on a Friday and we wait in line to order. Get to the front and not one, not two, but three gals behind the counter chatting instead of serving us.

Menu has condensed a lot. Sometimes that’s good cause the food slams. This food was ok. Fries were cold. Chicken sandwiches were lukewarm. The strawberry slushie was delicious.

We will hit up Wendy’s next time.

Sad to watch the slow motion car crash that is Hancock, with an owner clearly trying to maximize profits over all else and taking down talented staff and guest experience with it. This used to be a great restaurant but the food is gotten worse and the service experience went from being full service to expensive takeout.

Really friendly staff and excellent food. They loved to practice their Spanish with us.

Not even served real food. We got takeout, a burger and traditional chicken sandwich. First we noticed the burger was already cold after less than 5 minutes in the car, then the chicken sandwich was not even chicken. Cut it open to see that it was just breaded breading?? Also the top layer of breading was raw in between. I have no idea what is going on there but this is ridiculous.

I have been to Hancock a few times now. I would typically grab something to-go after a sunday yoga session across the street. The staff have been friendly and accomodating. I enjoyed the chicken sandwich and the sweet sauce is pretty good as well. I would recommend checking out Hancock if you are looking for good friend chicken on the east side of GR.

While I rarely feel compelled to write a negative review, my recent experience with Hancock left much to be desired.

I placed a pickup order through Uber Eats, something I’ve done numerous times before with this establishment. However, upon arriving home, I was disappointed to find that two of the sides I had ordered were entirely missing. It was a small but significant oversight — one that disrupted what should have been an enjoyable and complete meal.

Assuming it was an honest mistake, I contacted the restaurant, expecting a straightforward resolution — perhaps the opportunity to return and retrieve the missing items. Unfortunately, the response I received was far from accommodating. Rather than offering a solution, the employee redirected me to Uber Eats, effectively removing themselves from any responsibility.

While I understand the complexities of third-party orders, the restaurant’s unwillingness to address a simple issue directly reflects poorly on their customer service. A refund through the app may reimburse the cost, but it does little to remedy the experience or restore the meal I intended to enjoy.

Hancock has long been a favorite of mine, but this lapse — and more importantly, the dismissive handling of it — gives me pause. Good food is one thing. Respect for the customer’s time and experience is another.

I'll start with i am a cook and very picky about other peoples food, and this was an absolutely amazing experience with amazing food. The heat in the food is perfect. Thank you, for a flavorful heat instead of a burn your tung off heat. I enjoy tasting the food then getting the heat. Fast friendly service, and I'll definitely be telling more people about yall!!!!
