The first time we went to Zoko was soon after they opened and we loved it. The service was great and the small plates were timed perfectly in bringing food out. It made for a lovely evening. This time, we felt it wasn't as well explained and not timed as well. But it has become much more busy. The food is tasty. Some are very small bites and others come with much more. We finally ordered a couple of large plates to share as well, after 9-10 small plates

We were seated right away which was nice. The restaurant was half full, food came out quick and the noise was not bad, we were able to have a conversation, which was great. Our waitress was nice however it took forever for our cocktails to arrive. I had two drinks and so did my wife, both times we had to ask about the drinks, the waitress was nice and apologized and said the bar was running behind. The food, was so so. The tortilla was pretty much tasteless. After going to other Tapas restaurants and trying Zokoe, unfortunately we will not be back which is upsetting because we were really excited about it.

It was great! I was expecting a now traditional band style live music but instead it was a trendy jazz smooth love music and I absolutely loved it! The food was amazing! The pintxos with the crispy sage leaf, to die for!

Having eaten in the Basque Country in Spain, I can say, “Hallelujah!” Kind of a pity they don't grill fish outdoors like they do in Getaria—-maybe in summer? Have not yet had the 22 oz. chuletón ( there it's the tomahawk steak of a retired dairy cow, and the best beef ever) but I am confident theirs will be good. My husband says, “Why eat anywhere else in Grand Rapids?”

We recently moved to GR and have been working through a list of recommendations. Last evening's choice, Zoko 822, earned instant status among our favorites! Great food, friendly and helpful service, unpretentious atmosphere; it's really the total package. Complements to the chef and team!!!

We love this place! This past experience was not as strong as previous visits but it was still a great time. I would highly recommend if you are up for tying a different dining experience from the ‘Applebee's norm'

Amazing variety and quality of food. We brought some friends from out of town to Zoko to celebrate their birthday and date night. We have been here a number of times before and love the atmosphere, food and service. Overall it was a good experience but also ‘forgettable' to some extent. The service was not near as great as the times we've gone before, the food was good and the atmosphere is always nice and cozy.

What a delightful experience. The food was amazing and very authentic Spanish. The live music was jazz guitar and bass and was perfect for a snowy night. We will be back very soon!

First time there, great experience. Skewers of steak and mushroom with pesto and cilantro was incredible — we ordered it again. The salad was amazing and enough for two to split. We tried 8 different items; all were excellent except 1 (the grilled bak choy was just so-so). Very large collection of gin. Friendly service. The place got busy over time so noise got louder and food delivery slowed down a bit. We would go back for sure. Recommended.

The quality of the food and service was really good. The cocktails are on par with the quality of the food, list of gins is absolutely amazing. What really put this at a 5 star for us was how impressed we were with the coordination and collaboration of the staff and the interaction of the chef. They were a well oiled machine with a pretty modest number of staff. The chef was interacting with the guests, the staff and overseeing every dish that went out for serving, that to me is always a sign of a well run, quality oriented restaurant.

Went to Zoro to celebrate 2 of my daughters birthdays. Sat outside and enjoyed the urban/industrial setting that is becoming more common as the Grand Rapids restaurant scene continues to grow. We are a family that loves to sample each other's meals, so the format of Zoro with the bite sized Pintxos and the larger tapas was perfect. We enjoyed the wide variety of choices, as well as the many gin based drinks. All in all a very enjoyable experience.

Great food and great atmosphere. A very unique menu with options for everyone. Our waitress was awesome and answered all of our menu questions with ease as well as keeping or drinks and bellies full. Would defiantly recommend to a friend.

We stopped in for restaurant week to try it out and were overall disappointed with the food. The smoked trout mashed potatoes were extremely fishy. Chorizo was missing braised Apples. The sheeps milk cheese was cubed with olive oil poured over the top. Large selection of gin if that is your thing. Lacking in the burbon selection.

The only down side was the flavor of the Sea Bass, which was our main dish. Not reasoned well, and chick peas were also bland, which came with the fish. The tapas were very good. Ambiance is great, and music level was perfect for the intimate venue.
