They were not willing to fix their mistake and wanted me to pay the gas, take the time to go all the way back up there fo fix something illegal that they did!!!

I decided to order food here because I saw that their lunch menu was very affordable and I’m a broke college student working downtown for the summer. I got the beef and broccoli order with the side of chicken fried rice- I just took my first bite and it’s wonderful! The flavor is awesome in the rice, beef and vegetables and my order came with an AWESOME amount of food as well! It was ready for me to pick up only 15 minutes after I called to order.
Look at the picture I’ve provided, I got all of this for a little less than $12! I will absolutely be coming again and getting my lunches from the Hong Kong Express! :)

We got the chicken lo mein combo and the general tsao combo, and both were fantastic with great portion sizes and prices. I really was happy with the fried rice and egg roll too. Both were really fresh, not too greasy, and great flavor. Going to be a new regular place for us.

DO NOT eat here! I ordered lunch from Honk Kong Express today and had my boyfriend go pick up the food for us. When he got back, we realized there was a dead fly in the food. Disgusted, we brought the food back with the fly still in it to show them and ask for a refund. The owner acted annoyed and gave a lot of attitude, saying she couldn't give a refund and to call the police if we wanted our money back. Needless to say, we left without getting a refund and nothing was done to rectify the situation.

The lady was just telling me that I cannot pay an Apple Pay because customers asked for their money back. It causes her a lot more extra money to send money back to Apple Pay.Leaving the restaurant I only live a block away from the restaurant. I've been going to this place all the time and it has been great. However, there was a bug in my food. I went back to the restaurant to see if I could get my money back and figure out a way to get some new food. She started a fight. She tried to call the police on me. I just want my $8.45 back but that was too much for her.

I love this Restaurant! The Food is delicious, this is the best place to go in Grand Rapids, MI! I have been to many other places for Chinese and I have been disappointed several times! At Hong Kong Express the food is made to order and it’s always fresh! I am a new customer and it is so very good! The prices are amazing! You gotta stop by this restaurant and get the yummy egg rolls! Excellent food and service!

I had a weird experience with customer service after my second visit. I am a pescetarian (I'm mostly vegetarian but occasionally eat seafood). I ordered sweet & sour shrimp. I drove home and realized they gave me chicken, which I do not eat. I tried to call to resolve the issue. They kept answering the phone & hanging up without saying anything. I waited an hour or so before being able to speak to someone. Again, I do not eat chicken, so I had no reason to hold on to it. I threw it away. They acknowledged that they gave me the wrong item. I asked for either a refund or to receive the dish I ordered. Management said I needed to bring the chicken back. I explained that I had already thrown it away because I had no use for it. They instructed me to dig in the trash for the food, and that was the only way they could help me. I pointed out that it felt weird to go without a resolve over a mistake on their end.*Any food establishment that wants a person to bring back food items, much less ones that have been in the garbage, is a big red flag.*

Crab Rangoon is surprisingly filled for once. Other places make me feel like I'm eating just a fried cracker.*Remodel needed, but not important to why you'd go here.*Janine Tea (bottled) from the fridge taste like soap. Don't do it.
