I got takeout from here, it was delicious! High quality and authentic Indian food! Mint chutney is super fresh tasting and the Malai Kofta is on point. If you like Indian food and are considering this place, do not hesitate!

Food is downright amazing- never have had anything I didn't love. The vegetarian menu is also pretty extensive! Almost always come home with some leftovers, too.

The Malai Kofta was very good. The Palak Paneer, which I like in other Indian restaurants, was not good at all. The garlic naan was okay.

UPDATE: Since the team appears to care, here’s some feedback! I don’t know that there’s much you can do about the outdoor area (unless you own the plaza), but any decor/signage would make things more inviting as it currently feels half-abandoned. There are too many unnecessary signs on your windows, making the restaurant look/feel more like a convenience store than a dining venue. Once inside, your lighting, general tidiness, and clutter needs to be improved. If it’s not explicitly meant for guests to see (cleaning supplies, boxes, etc.), things should be back of house. Bathrooms need attention.Service was friendly and quick, but lacked forethought. So I give you credit for being responsive, but it needs more anticipation. Server was an “order taker” and did little to nothing to engage, make suggestions, etc.I really think a couple of days of cleanup and attention to detail and a little effort with service would take this place to the next level.OLD: Good food, decent service, rough venue.

Best Indian restaurant in Grand Rapids by far. Paneer tikka masala is my favorite but it’s all amazing for very fair prices.

South Asian cuisine is quickly becoming one of my favorites and I have tried a little bit from so many restaurants, but Indian Masala is the gold standard. The chicken is always so tender, the daal so creamy, naan so soft and buttery - everything is so flavorful and executed so perfectly. Every time I am in Grand Rapids, Michigan this is my first stop. The staff is so friendly and helpful (as much Indian food I have eaten, I don't know a single thing about it). If you are unsure of what to order, stick with samplers on their menu, it will give you a wide spread of appetizers and mains that are most commonly ordered. I would recommend Indian Masala to anyone that already loves South Asian Cuisine, and all of those that are hesitant to try.

Great Indian food! Naan is nice and fresh. The dishes are expertly prepared and plentiful. Attached to an Indian grocer as well, which is handy if you need to pick up those kinds of niche Indian ingredients that aren't stocked at one of the big grocery stores. The people are nice and the location is serviceable. It's nothing fancy. You'll probably overhear other tables or feel maybe a little crowded if you're at a busy time. You'll see plenty of takeout people going in and out of the doors.Overall a great addition to the Indian food scene in the GR area. They probably have the best Malai Kofta in town, so I recommend getting that when you go.

I had the chicken curry and was amazed at the flavor! Huge portion sizes (leftovers for later! ?) for an unbeatable price. Highly recommend you check this place out for yourself!

The Mixed Grill with Curry Sauce was so good! It has grilled steak, chicken, lamb, shrimp and fish with bell pepper and onions on the sizzling plate. The portion was huge and the food was very hot. Our server was very nice too.

We enjoyed a variety of dishes for an at-home buffet, including papdi chat (so yum!), onion pakora, chili paneer, lamb vindaloo, tandoori chicken, and basmati rice. Flavors were very good, but the pakora were rock hard and the paneer was chewy, not soft inside (like when I make it at home). The papdi chat was delicious, the tandoori was tender, and the vindaloo was excellent. The wait staff were helpful and friendly. We would try it again and explore other dishes.
