Excellent place!Just walked in for the first time 5 minutes before closing, & they were so kind, welcoming and informative. Our kind host from Jamaica was conversational and had lots of recommendations if we ever visit his beautiful country. We got meal of wonderfully flavorful stew beef and jerk chicken, with beans and rice, plantains, and two delicious spiced cornbread fried bread.Don’t forget the classic Ting! soda, made with Caribbean grapefruit!Definitely coming back soon!

Ox tail is amazing. I also love jerk chicken. Curry chicken is ok. Meat pies are good. Make sure you ask for a ting to drink with your meal. Call ahead to see what he has available.

I've been trying to come here since Monday 11/6/23 & now today 11/10/23 they are still not open after pushing back their open sign a couple days after original day. This is not a good look at all especially pushing it back on the days your supposed to be re-open. Would love to try the food sooner or later!

Wonderful Jamaican food. Today Dave was the only one in. Service was reasonably fast for 1 person. We ate in at the 1 table in the front. Mostly a carry out place. The ox tail, curried goat and jerk chicken we very good. The best was Ox tail and Curried Goat. Rice and peas(beans) we very good. This is not the place you go for atmosphere. The food is good. Be prepared to wait if it is busy or call your order ahead.

I am impressed with the quality of their food! Grand Rapids is not an ethnic food city. Pleasant staff.

My dad and I have been coming here for years! The most authentic Jamaican food we have, the owner used to give us extra oxtail (before inflation) whenever we would stop in. We love the bean rice, and the platters are always full of meat. A great hidden gem! We ordered the jerk chicken most recently, picture attached.

First time here, better than Irie Kitchen in terms of being more Jamaican and not reinvented. The chicken and oxtail meat fell off the bone but lacked flavor (needs some good seasoning not just it being spicy). The oxtail had more flavor than the j*** chicken. Rice was mushy. Jamaican beef patty was not the best but better than irie’s. Not coming back and do not recommend. Slaw needs work and plantains were good. Festival looking thing can go. Overall glad we tried so it’s off of our list.

Can't judge the food. We stood inside for 5 minutes, and no one came to the front to take our

My jerk chicken was Burnt, oxtail was ok, rice was not good, too much water made the rice too soft and too sticky. Jasmine rice may solve this. Next time I’m in town I will stop by again. Im expecting that real Caribbean flava.
