The worst service I have ever experienced in my life!!!!! The staff were the rudest most confrontational and condescending service staff I have ever encountered, we waited for a hour and a half for food and once we received the food the entire order was wrong, the staff acted as if we were invisible, we had to chase the manager Megan down we were ment with harsh words and attitude, like most of the other 1 star reviews I would reiterate that the SERVICE is horrible!!!!!!!! The owner need to look at these reviews and take serious consideration to the complaints about his staff it is literally disgusting how we were treated tonight I would never step foot in this place again

The atmosphere while dining was nice, not loud and overwhelming like some dining can be, however, we were not impressed with out meal.

This was the first time dining at this particular restaurant and decided to try it based on some of the reviews.

We started off with a roll for an appetizer, and the fish did not taste good at all.. I was somewhat relieved that our roll was one of those which is cooked since the fish did not taste fresh.

I definitely would not want sushi from here, which, needs to be at a higher quality.

Speaking of quality, the quality of the food seems subpar and cheap. Our chicken was extremely drybased and not much flavor.

We definitely would not dine here again.

In short:
The food was lackluster, unappealing, and borderline offensive.
The wait staff were considerate and admirable but lacked knowledge of the menu.
The restaurant was, for the most part, clean and family-friendly.
----
I was promptly greeted and swiftly seated, which set a positive tone for the dining experience. The table was dressed with a paper napkin rolled upon disposable chopsticks and a fork.
I was checked in periodically for my drink of choice and given water. Eventually, I ordered a Reisling and then asked for the Reserve Wine Menu as stated on their menu. I came to find out there was no such thing. The waitress told me that there is a transition of menus; this has left the reserve list in the 'to-do list.' That sounds like an excuse since they have a revolving beer menu, albeit a restaurant in the beer city.

For my main course, I ordered the 10 oz Teriyaki Steak entree with fried rice instead of steamed white rice. The waitress was apologetic about the many options she had to present, such as soup or salad, steamed white rice or fried rice, and steak temperature. This level of service was commendable. I also ordered a Salmon Roe Ikura.

In the meantime, the restroom was dim but seconded as a storage room at the time. The tiling and wooden stall door, combined with the lack of bathroom amenities, did not live up to the authentic and premier Japanese lounge it boasts of.

The most offensive was the food:

The teriyaki steak on their menu should go to court and then prison. When you think teriyaki steak, you think of a steak, normally sliced thick and sauteed in the teriyaki sauce and veggies; not at Ju Sushi & Lounge.
I was given a steak with a ramekin of cool-temperature teriyaki sauce on the side. The steak was plain and clearly flat-iron grilled to a medium temperature (not med-rare) but not sauteed in teriyaki. On the side were onions, sauteed bell peppers (no, just no), and an unpleasing yellow sludge on top that looked like an unpleasing liquid turned out to be garlic butter. But it was already solidifying, signifying that the dish was at least room temperature/already cold.
The teriyaki sauce was so obviously a Kikkoman/store-brand sauce that I couldn't help but taste it and avert my eyes from it. It was such an embarrassing meal.

I cannot say that the salmon roe was fresh; it did not 'pop' as it should. The fish were dark orange, and many were wrinkled. Although it was a generous size, it sadly lacked the fresh flavors and especially the quality you buy it for.

THE SAVING GRAINS (grace):

The fried rice served with the entree was a delightful, and much needed surprise. It was rich in umami flavors, with the main flavoring being soy sauce, but there were other subtle notes that added depth to the dish. If I were asked to visit Ju Sushi & Lounge again, I would definitely consider ordering this dish, alone.

Kid-friendliness: There are options for children who haven't ventured into Asian cuisine yet. There are smaller portion options as well, of course.

Ordered takeout a few hours ahead for my brother in laws birthday. The food was ready to go and well packaged on time, so great service. I am a vegetarian, and the veggie sushi was good, but nothing incredible. My brother in law was also uninspired by the tuna and eel sushi, but still ate it. So I would give it a solid 3. However my sister in law (who doesn’t normally like sushi) tried the California roll and enjoyed it, even going back for more. So I count that as an extra star!

The atmosphere is very calm and serene. The lounge is a very comfy place to have a drink and talk with friends and the dining are has comfortable chairs that are still nice and functional. The fountain at the entrance wasn’t running sadly, but I imagine it would be very beautiful. The wait and staff are very kind. The wait for the food isn’t to long during lunch hours (11-1) it took 15 minutes for a side and 10 after that for the entree. For the side I had a salad which was very refreshing and a good start to a meal. It was garnished very well with carrots, Cabbage, and Tomatoes. The dressing was very light, with hints of lemon grass and vinegar, it had a nice sweetness which paired nicely with the tomatoes. The only issue I had is the lettuce was a little wilted and browned. Tye entree I chose was the Miso Ramen. It had many topping from crispy Unami tempura shrimp, to juicy Dumplings. The broth was full of umami with a nice hint of cabbage and fish. The noodles were a little undercooked and to bland for my liking. They give you a lot for what you pay for. It definitely isn’t a place to take your kids or even teens/ young adults for that matter, it would definitely be boring to them. It’s a nice place to grab lunch and discuss work with co workers. I don’t think I would come again, it was a fun experience though. All together 4 out of 5 stars. Again the staff is very nice! For a meal and drink it only costs 15 bucks.
