I expected friendlier service. The waitress could not be bothered with questions about the menu or forthcoming about the menu, drinks often sat empty. When she did come to our table she left very quickly not to be seen again for quite a while. It was not busy at all.

The chef makes some of the best Japanese ginger salad, great sushi, and quality Asian. The gourmet ginger dressing is fabulously different. I do not care the dressing is not typical. Their dumplings are delightfully light with a wonderful dipping sauce. I enjoy their nice green tea taro presentation.
I wish for another full meal of their ginger salad and signature, unique, and flaming sushi roll.
Their wonderful roll with a well known controversial name of “playboy roll” is phenomenal as they table present and flambé. The selection is flavor forward and a good textured creation with a crunch as it contains asparagus. The outside of the roll contains a nice decent cook creating a warm inside. I wish the roll had a different name. I consider the roll their Ju roll it is so special, popular, and spectacular.

2nd best sushi place in all of GR currently. I'll never get sick of eating here. I get the same items way too much instead of trying new items, but when you love something you find, what do you do!
Everything I've had here - the basic rolls, nigiri, Omakase, specialty rolls (esp the Sunshine roll!) the starters - it's all good!! The Playboy roll is a fun experience and super delicious, too. The Tokyo Tower is also one of my favs.
The service here has always been pretty good - sometimes they are slow. Takeout service is the same - sometimes they are great, sometimes they are terrible. There are two sides to be seated - a lounge and a regular dining area. The comfy lounge seats are fun to sit at, but make it really hard to eat. The dining area is meh for atmosphere.
The location is inconvenient for most GR people, but it is worth the drive, I promise.

This place has really gone downhill. They still charge and present themselves like a nice restaurant, but the experience does not match. Servers in hooters length short shorts and skirts, sushi chefs wearing novelty ramen shirts (no beard or hair net nor hat I’ll add), and lofi YouTube videos with ads on the TV ruin the atmosphere.
Tried calling to place an order and got no answer. Called twice more with a few minutes in between and still nothing, just a busy tone. Walked in to find the place not busy. The hostess greeted us with an eye roll and an AirPod in, and showed no concern when we told her the phone was not working. The bartender was clearly stressed, short with us, and treated another guest the same way. Never saw a manager do a table touch but maybe they were also dressed too casually to recognize.
The place also needs cleaning and repairs. They still have a “Best Restaurant of 2014” plaque on the wall, which might be the last time the stainless steel around the bar was polished.

Lots of options in an upscale atmosphere, but there are better options in the area.

Great food and drinks. Good variety, friendly staff. We were with friends but seated in the bar area. It was a touch loud to chat.

I got the teriyaki sirloin with the upgraded fried rice. The sirloin was the size of a hockey puck and very tough. Nastiest cut of steak I’ve ever had. Fried rice was so salty and tasted like straight butter. Ate a piece of my steak and some fried rice, instantly upset my stomach. Wife had the nigiri and was also unhappy. Got home and we instantly puked. Server was great overall. Save your time and go to Ginza instead!!

Came into the restaurant for dinner and it wasn't busy. Probably like 5 tables total. Sat for 20 minutes and had no one even acknowledge us. 2 servers went back and forth to different tables around us numerous times. We already had our whole order picked out and just had to get up and leave. Ended up at cheesecake factory instead and service and food was beyond amazing.

Been here twice for lunch, solo each time. First time I was unimpressed, but I've heard good things, so I thought maybe it was a fluke. Second time was more of the same though. Service was nice, but slower than ideal for a quick lunch. Food was truly uninspiring. Both times the sushi rice was undercooked. Fish tasted low quality. Miso soup was weak and used firm instead of soft tofu. Atmosphere was fine, but felt a little dated. If someone were to suggest going here in the future, I would suggest other alternative options as I'd rather spend my time and money somewhere else.
