Staff were not that friendly. The chicken was not good. No flavor…You could tell it was frozen tenders that they battered and then overcooked. It was chewy and texturally off putting. I wouldn’t recommend, downtown market has plenty other options.

I had the Honey Bacon Chicken sandwich and fries. While it was very good, I wouldn't say it was good enough to justify the $15 price tag. Popeye's is almost just as good and 2/3 the price. I do like supporting a local business, however. I recommend Juju Bird if you're already at the Downtown Market; otherwise, I'd hold off and just get Popeye's.

Pan and her team at Juju bird served up the most delicious food! They had so many wonderful options on their menu and our guests kept talking about how good the food was. I would highly recommend juju bird for those looking to have great tasting food, a larger way of options, and great efficiency for serving!

i ordered a spicy chicken sandwich with ranch and omgg the best chicken sandwich ever ! it was very juicy and tasteful , the fires were amazing, it wasn’t over season but well enough with the ranch!! ( VERY JUICY it got all over my pants but i’m not complaining) better than popeyes and any other food chain !!!

We can highly recommend drum sticks which are juicy inside and crunchy outside in addition to not oily. They are literally healthier for our stomachs.
I visited your shop in the grand rapids downtown market today at 4pm. I put in an order for two chicken burgers and was told it would be 10 minutes. My husband was sitting in front of the shop waiting for the order, when my teenager said she wanted to go wait in the car. I walked her out and set her up in the car and came back inside. My husband said they only called 1 order for a Lisa so we just sat and talked.
After waiting for a few minutes with my husband I decided to ask the lady at the register if she had called my name at all because I had step outside and she said not they are still working on it. So I left my husband to wait again and went to grab some sodas to take home from the other shop. When I came back, my husband said my name still was not called so we sat in front of the shop for 10 more minutes.
A guy came out and said my name. I walked over and he said, "Your food has been sitting here for a minute and she called your name like 2 times." I was confused and was like l, "Really? Because my husband has been sitting here the whole time." He said, "Yeah sorry," and walked back into the kitchen area.
Your staff needs to do better. I feel extremely disappointed and disrespected. She didn't even come back out to apologise to me, she sent the other guy out and because you have a full glass wall, I could she her and other staff pointing out and laughing.

I had their chicken salad in December and it was so good and fresh. The chicken had a nice fine dice, and I love that they use fresh herbs. I was excited to grab a container today and added on a macaroni salad. The chicken salad was tasty, but was much chunkier and was very mayo heavy, making it fall out of the sandwich I made. The container was also not full, so with all the mayo I felt like I didn’t get much actual chicken salad. The macaroni was also disappointing. I’m not sure how to cook noodles to make them so gluey feeling, and on top of that it is all macaroni with a sprinkle of carrots, which makes for a pretty bland mac salad in my opinion. I expected some pickles, celery, egg, or anything to give it some variation in texture and flavor. I understand places can have off days, but I was really expecting better food and consistency from a Downtown Market vendor.

Downtown markets atmosphere is great. The food at juju bird was overall, quite lacking. Got the 12 pc boneless wings and the chicken was dry, unseasoned, and really tough. The pieces were large and maybe that works against them in ensuring they are fully cooked they require too long and dry out. The sauces were the saving grace as the chicken would probably be impossible to eat without them, but overall they tasted uninspiring. Really want to like the place, and will probably come back to try the sandwich, but overall, not a recommendation I can make.
