The apps at our cocktail hour were delicious and the service was good throughout the night. Our tasting was amazing.The bad: When it came to the actual dinner at our wedding, we were pretty disappointed. The portions were much smaller, the plating less attractive, and the taste was totally average wedding food compared to the awesome tasting. Some things about the dishes had definitely been changed for the worse.Additionally, the vendors working at cocktail hour were NOT well-versed in dietary restrictions and allergies. I am gluten free, and no one I asked on the waitstaff could not tell me which passed apps I could eat, even though my husband and I had intentionally picked out multiple GF options. The staff just kept repeating that things were vegetarian, which clearly wasn't helpful. It seems like all of the staff need better training on dietary restrictions. (During planning, a staff member also tried to remove the cheese on everyone's salads for those people who picked the vegetarian entree, assuming everyone was vegan just because they wanted the option without meat). After hearing many wonderful things about Kangaroo, we were pretty disappointed after the big day. Hopefully it was just a fluke for us.

The appetizers were incredible. Their staff was so helpful and professional on the day of the event. The dinner turned out excellent. People had enough food to eat to dance all night! The food turned out lovely and people really enjoyed the meal. The food also came out promptly for a plated meal and the staff seemed very organized. Their communication was thorough and thoughtful. Kangaroo Kitchen did a FABULOUS job with our wedding at the Cheney Place. Not only was the food delicious, but the staff is very knowledgeable about allergens, which coming from a food & beverage background, was very important to me. We received compliments all night long and after the wedding. We had around 175 guests, and with two buffet lines, all guests were fed within 20 minutes which was amazing.Logistically, the team was easy to work with, and all fees were well laid out within the estimate and final bill, and nothing was hidden. I'd highly recommend Kangaroo Kitchen for any event!

WOW!!! If you want amazing food and staff these are the people for you! They were so accommodating, their communication was impeccable, and their food is delicious! We had salmon and chicken that was not dry. A unique salad compared to just a garden salad that you typically see at weddings. My husband and I cannot get over their service. They checked in on us multiple times throughout the evening making sure everything was great and made sure our special accommodations for those with allergies was met. One thing that stood out to me was they created a small plate with all of our appetizers and brought it to my husband and I to make sure we got one of each of our appetizers. So often I hear brides and/or grooms say “I didn’t even get any of our appetizers.” HIGHLY recommend!
