About Leo's Coney Island

Leo's Coney Island is a well-known restaurant that offers a wide variety of classic American and Greek dishes. The service is commendable, with friendly and attentive waitstaff. Customers have noted that their food is served promptly, often within 15 minutes of ordering. The portions are generous, leaving customers fully satisfied.

The menu features popular choices such as omelets, chicken fingers, and gyros. Customers have praised the chicken stir-fry and the cheeseburger, which features a third-pound patty cooked to medium-well and topped with fresh lettuce and tomato. The restaurant also offers a great selection of specialty burgers, an extensive Greek menu, and a variety of salads.

While the food is generally good, some customers have mentioned that the water has a slight taste, possibly due to an issue with the filtration system. Additionally, the hashbrowns could be crispier, and the temperature in the restaurant could be adjusted for better customer comfort.

Overall, Leo's Coney Island is a great choice for those looking for a quick and delicious meal in a simple, diner-like atmosphere. The restaurant's commitment to quality and customer service makes it a reliable option for both locals and visitors.

My family and I ate at Leo's Coney Island last night. I got a turkey melt. Was not pleased with it. Bread came toasted and cheese 1/2 melted BUT the meat was FRESH OUT OF THE REFRIGERATOR COLD COLD COLD on warm bread. Thought turkey MELT, meant WARM at least. Had to ask waitress to microwave it just so I could eat it. Wasn't even busy. Like 3 other people/families in there. So WHY the COLD meat on warm sandwich? Odd!

We are a Greek family and love the Greek dishes that Leo's Coney Island offers. We have dined there frequently, often bring friends. The food is always good and the service fantastic. That being said; however, we have decided not to dine there any longer during the cold months, as the owner chooses to keep the dining room quite frigid.

chili dogs are great. now, let's get down and dirty about their biggest rip off...their Gyro. what a RIP OFF. 3 tiny pieces of processed meat, 2 Itty bitty half slices if 1 tomato slice and maybe, this may be pushing it, two teaspoons of sauce. This was the driest, rubbery chewiest meat, the entire ting gyro sandwich was a HUGE disappointment. For the price, you are going to get screwed. it's great if you're looking for a snack..my suggestion, go to Sam's Gyros, or an authentic...read full review
