The foods are good the majority of the time. The last time they gave me a day old food. Fried foods are stale after sitting out too long, very disappointed.

We hadn't been to LJS in quite sometime. The outside of the establishment is looking very run down. The inside was totally fine. We didn't get chicken baskets with green beans and rice. The rice was absolutely delicious. The green beans had a smoky flavor and the chicken was cooked perfectly. I always ask for extra crunchies.

My wife and I went out for a relaxing meal,usually great food at this Long John Silvers. Yesterday while setting down for our meal the person working the window began a tiraded about immigrants. We didn't come to hear this kind of political rhetoric. Totally ruined our meal and evening. Oh and by the way lady, you wouldn't last 5 minutes in the picking fields

Lady at the window was very nice and over the top courteous .6 piece fish was awesome !! Would be nice if they would give an extra piece once in awhile for the price 😁
Been in twice in the last month. Both times we were in, we had a tall, young man, with long black dreads. He is the nice, polite, understanding, patient (while grandchildren figured out what they wanted). He is a great asset to this chain. I will return, hope I get him again.

Decided to come here- came out of our way from Cedar Springs to get some fish- and they were not even open at all. It was only 6:30pm. What is going on? This is bad.

TLDR: if you like LJS, you’ll love this location. If you don’t, skip my review. It’s deep fried fast food seafood- and I live for it 🤣
We got the specials:
FISH, CHICKEN & SHRIMP PLATTER- 2PC FISH, 1PC CHICKEN, 3PC SHRIMP, 2 SIDES, 2 HUSHPUPPIES- we got cheese curds as one of the sides instead of fries (extra charge).
If you come late in the day (within 3 hrs of closing) you may not get hushpuppies- the batter takes time to proof and they only make a certain amount per day, so they tend to run out- just a heads up.
The coleslaw is bomb. Get it.
Every time we visit, the food is just as expected: crispy, deliciously fried and greasy, and the sides are great. I didn’t love the cheese curds tbh, so in future visits I probably won’t get those. The cheesecake is literally perfect- tastes great and is a much smaller serving that at Cheesecake Factory so 1) you don’t feel so absolutely stuffed and guilty after eating a whole piece and 2) it’s wayyyy cheaper 🤣.
The Starrrberry lemonade is pretty good. I recommend.
This is not a place to go for health. This is a place to go because you want fried food and you’re going to make that decision 💀

Parking: Plenty of parking in the free lot. Half the time we’re the only people there.
