Really good butter chicken and fried cauliflower. I like that you can set the spicy level. And the mango lassi is super duper nummi!!

Best Indian restaurant in Grand Rapids
Came all the way to Flint for some personal work and stumbled upon this Indian restaurant nearby — turned out to be the best in town!

The Chicken Masala was delicious, with a lot of flavors. However, the Chicken Biryani could use more sauce, as it was a bit bland. Additionally, the chicken in the biryani should be grilled and seasoned to enhance its flavor. Otherwise, the rest of the food was delicious. Thank you!

Had a great experience with Madras Indian Grill! Ordered a half tray of Chettinad Chicken Biryani and a quarter tray of Malai Kofta for a gathering.
The biryani was delicious with plenty of chicken, flavorful and well-cooked. (5/5)
The malai kofta had a good portion but could use a bit more authentic flavor for my taste. (3/5)
The order felt a bit pricey compared to places like New York, but reasonable for Indian restaurants in Grand Rapids.
Karthik, who took my order, went the extra mile to ensure the quantity was right for the number of guests. He maintained a high level of professionalism throughout and made sure the quality wasn’t compromised despite it being a somewhat large order. (5/5)

A friend of mine and I met up and visited Madras on the recommendation of a nice young man we met at another restaurant in Portage, Mi. I'm so glad we went. This place is our new favorite. Even though I am from Kalamazoo and my friend is from Three Rivers, we can't wait to return. The food was fantastic, and the restaurant was very clean. I'm ready now....

Sunday buffet was larger than most. If you are used to northern Indian Punjab cuisine, you will find this Southern Indian cuisine unique.

As many times as I’ve eaten Indian food throughout the US, this is the first time for Southern Indian which uses tamarind and curry leaves. I absolutely loved it. The food was fresh and tasty. The buffet was humongous with lots of choices. I’ll definitely be back.

Everything had great flavor…will be back!
So far I tried 4-5 Indian restaurants in Grand Rapids, this has been the best (veg). One time they messed up my order with spice level but staff was really nice they asked me what was wrong and fixed my order immediately. But the other times food was good no complaints at all.
