Highly recommend their fish and chips, never lets you down with that order. Good drinks too! Our server was excellent

This was our first time for dinner. Had brunch before and loved it. We went on NYE and there were a few families with crying kids. So, good if you are looking for family friendly, bad if you are looking for a quiet romantic spot. Think high end diner with a full bar. My food was better than expected but my husbands was less than expected. Still good, just not as described. Service was great. We will be back!

Told last minute that they were out of two of their main entrees. Fine...understand that, just wish that the server would have told us when we sat down and not when he came to take our orders. Meals came out, steak was untrimmed, fatty and with no sear. Tasteless. Other meals were not correct, either. Missing the salad that we ordered. No seasoning. Drinks were mediocre. Will not be back.

Best brekkys in GR! Colleen is a great server. We are from out of town but will definitely be back. If you're in town be sure to stop by.

First time here visiting, Bad night for dinner I guess. I order the steak frites and it had to be the worst steak I ever had. Thin, well done. Frites were good. My husband had the chicken and waffles, chicken was dry.

Upon deciding to try a local establishment for dinner, Matchbox caught our eye. We knew parking would be an issue, especially in a densely populated neighborhood coupled with little to no parking availability near the restaurant. The walk about 1.5 blocks was invigorating and after our meal was a needed trek. The server was super friendly, but appeared to become totally overwhelmed with the amount of tables which quickly filled her station. Overall, our food was delicious. Simple but very tasty. Seating was an issue for us, as my partner was sticking out in the middle of the walkway in such a way that the distance from. the corner of the bar top and his chair only left wiggle room to pass, He felt 'inundated' with the traffic pattern. If anyone has sat in the first 3-seater row expanded from a 2 seater row on an airplane can attest to the inconvenience and interruptions that occur. Same with this particular table. It appeared to be that other tables were not affected. Would we return - probably - to see if things just might be a bit better.

Wonderful dinner for birthday celebration. The atmosphere is so cozy and the booth gives you a sense of a private dinning experience. The menu has something for everyone and the waitstaff were top notch! Finally a restaurant that checks all the boxes for us!

Grab breakfast on our way out. There is no parking outside the store, you need to look for street parking. However, food is good and server is attentive.

Overall good experience. Chill atmosphere for a quiet date night. Cocktails and service were great. Food was a little bit on the salty side, especially the cheese curd appetizer. Be aware, they do not have their own parking lot, so you have to park in the street, or a public lot...which isn't terribly close. Unfortunately the street parking in front was all closed due to road construction.

This is a great place for an intimate brunch. The food is great as are the bloodies!

Had the best time and food at Matchbox! I got the Texican burrio! Not only were the potatoes on the bottom heavenly, the burrito was delicious! A big shoutout to Alyssa our server, she was so kind and helpful. A must stop place on the eastside!
