Food was great. Was able to get seated without reservation but definitely recommend getting reservation beforehand as it is a small place. Our service was a little slow. We were seated at our table for over an hour before we got our food. Cocktails from the bar took awhile to be made as well. There was a large party in back that would walk to bar to get drinks which slowed down our service. It took about 20 minutes to get our cocktail and a cola. The only dish I wouldn’t recommend was the seafood soup as it was very salty (and this is coming from someone who loves salt). The fish tacos were very goodParking: Free parking after 5pm

First timer and it won't be my last. The food was so flavorful. I loved the Carne Asada a la Tampiqueña 1939. Their basic margarita was one of the best I've had in GR. Service was excellent. Can't say enough good things!

We were really looking forward to having Ceviche. It was disappointing when it was more like a salad with very little shrimp. Also, the caldo Seafood Soup was mostly broth with a couple of shrimp in it.The service was excellent.

The drinks and service are great. The ambiance is pretty good also. Unfortunately the food leaves something to be desired. Here's what I had: caesar salad (the dressing had great flavor, but they globbed on so much I ended up with a mouthful of salad dressing on limp lettuce) and my entree was chicken mole poblano (the chicken was cooked properly and the presentation was decent, but the cilantro rice was cold and the mole sauce was lacking in flavor, was thin and a bit watery). It was disappointing. I paid $50 for food, just for myself, it should've been awesome, delicious, and memorable. It was not, it was mediocre at best, and I will not be back.

Beautiful food, clearly made with such skill and care. When it comes to upper scale dining, this is such a refreshing change of pace from many of the more corporate-group restaurants in town.

I was so hopeful that I would have an awesome experience that I came here for my birthday. When we walked in there were some folks in the bar however the restaurant side only had one table full. We waited about 4 minutes before anyone greeted us. When seated we did get water immediately and got menus. We placed an appetizer order at the same time they took the drink order (had a feeling that things may be a bit slow) it took 35 minutes to get a ceviche appetizer- way too long. The waitress came by and said it would be coming soon-it did about 10 minutes later. During this time of waiting another couple was seated. No on waited on them after getting water for an extended period, so they stomped out. We ordered a skirt steak and the Camarones ala Diabla. The restaurant started to fill up. Another 30 minutes passed before getting our meals. The meals tasted really good, and were plated well, however they were moderately warm. The staff was friendly, they wished me a happy birthday and provided a free desert. This place has tons of potential-they seem, like so many places to be short staffed, both in the up front area and the kitchen. Maybe this was an off night, I hope it is not a trend.

I loved this place! I had the carne asada a la tampiquena 1939 and it was delicious! The steak was very tender and flavorful. Everything on the plate was delicious. I had the Oaxacan margarita which I also loved! First time there and I was impressed. I will be back!

Very interesting menu - traditional food for pre-Hispanic Mexico with a modern twist. Flavors and spices were well done. Salmon was moist and tender with a great sauce, olives and capers. The broth in the seafood soup was fabulous. Good tequila and mescal cocktails.

Had the fish stew which has a heated rock put in it at the table! Impressive! Lots of fish, shrimp in tangy sauce.

Overall not great, food portions were extremely small for the price you paid, under seasoned and over cooked/ burnt meat. Drinks were average and not worth the price. So many other Mexican restaurants you could eat at for half the money with 10 times the amount of flavor: wouldn't recommend.
