the best coffee i've had so far. me and my partner have been here quite a few times, and every single time the service is impeccable and the coffee is amazing. they are open late, and are down the street from the college so it does get quite busy; but it's never too busy or loud. we've always been able to find seating and hangout until our order is done.

One of the most commendable features of this establishment is its ample space, with numerous tables, outlets, and reliable WiFi, making it a haven for productivity. There's a private parking lot although the limited spots designated for the shop itself could pose a challenge during busy hours. Street parking (must pay during certain hours) is available. The ambiance, bathed in natural light, adds a refreshing touch to the atmosphere. However, be prepared for the temperature inside, as it tends to soar, especially during warmer months. Layering up or opting for lighter clothing might be wise. This is the biggest con but I'm still coming back because of the overall ambience and quality!

They were pretty busy when I got in, but ordering was simple and the matcha (with espresso and oat milk) and my overnights oats were fantastic. Even though it was busy, it was easy to find a seat to sit and study (and I love their seating arrangement)
This place and the people that run it are something special. I stopped in for a to go order and while I waited I got to taste some amazing tea. The most kind and soft spoken staff in town. I highly recommend and I will definitely be back! Thank you midnight express cafe!

Tons of seating, the wifi is blazing fast, plenty of parking options (including the GVSU lots after 6:30pm) and their food & drink is well-priced.Love that they're open until 1am! It's so hard to find a coffee shop, or a good smoothie, or a salad after 7pm in this town. I'll be back.
