I was not impressed with the sushi. I personally did not like it. The people were nice. The side of white rice & miso was good! Not good for price I spent.

I've been in GR for a while and I miss good Japanese food. But I've looked in many places and still haven't found it. Until I came to eat here Everything is very fresh. Use good things and make it delicious. The atmosphere is very friendly. Luckily today came when there weren't many customers. So I got a special menu from the owner. This is probably my regular shop now.

After scouring the city for the ultimate Japanese dining experience, I discovered this hidden gem! With exceptionally fresh sashimi and sushi, outstanding bento boxes, and warm hospitality from the owner, this restaurant stands out. Highly recommended for sushi lovers! ❤️

This is our favorite sushi restaurant in Grand Rapids. They also have plenty of non-sushi options to pick from. The staff are all exceedingly friendly and offer to help those learning how to eat sushi.
We love bringing our out-of-town guests and family and have never been disappointed throughout our many years coming here.
We would have posted videos and pictures, but the food was consumed too quickly.
Parking: Plenty of parking in strip mall.

It's ok I guess. They put a stinky white sauce inside one of the rolls, couldnt finish it. Place doesn't smell too clean either. Won't be back.
Great little place with fast, friendly service, good portion sizes and great prices. I tried the teriyaki chicken lunch special and I'm stuffed. I'm going to come back for the sushi later

Excellent sushi 🍣, very fresh and great variety
My wife and I stopped by here on vacation on our way through Grand Rapids, and we were pleasantly surprised by the quality of everything! The food was fresh and tasty, which was very impressive considering we stopped by there quite late in the evening. They have an exceptional selection of different items on the menu, more varied than most sushi places we've been to, and all the flavor combinations were tasteful and well thought-out. The place was very clean and tastefully decorated, the staff was all remarkably kind and personable, and very attentive, and the service was quick as well. We were even given a delicious orange dessert on the house! I personally recommend the playboy roll, and the gyoza was very well-made, if not a bit crispier than usual. I also quite liked the yellowtail. The prices were also extremely reasonable! I highly recommend giving them a try! 10/10!

Not your sushi restaurant only. This is a real Japanese restaurant, yes they do have sushi and sashimi, however they have a very large selection of other Japanese dishes, bento boxes and more. I'll definitely be back to try new dishes.

Nice spot to pick up some good sushi. The staff were very welcoming and nice. The sushi was tasty and fresh. Prices weren't crazy high either. Good sushi for a good price. I'd definitely go again.

This is going to be a detailed review. My son loves sushi and ramen. So for his birthday we chose to take him. I googled and we ended up here. I have never felt more welcomed walking into a restaurant. The menu selection was insane. We couldn't make up our minds. The woman (assuming owner) brought us hot tea with the warmest smile. Upon ordering, I was having trouble picking a sushi roll. The chef (assuming another owner) told me he was going to make me one called a Golden Tiger consisting of everything I love. First out was miso soup and ginger salad. Our family has never had either, and we're pleasantly surprised. Delicious!! When our food came out we were blown away with how much food it was haha. They explained the best way to eat each thing. The food was literally THE BEST Japanese food we've ever had. From the sushi, to ramen, to our other entries. We had mentioned it was our son's birthday. The two (assumed) owners came over with fried ice cream, candles and a happy birthday sign. They sang to him and were so joyful and sincere. As lame as this sounds I had tears in my eyes. If you've ever been on the fence, go!! My husband and I said after leaving we felt like we were having dinner in their homes. Felt like literal guests. Best experience I've EVER had at a restaurant. We will be back. Hopefully weekly lol.
