This was my second time at this location. Please community do not bother investing your time and money here. The cooks DO NOT cook the food fresh. The waitresses especially Lexi was very rude, disrespectful and unprofessional. I such away that newer customers saw her response and walked out. Staff/cooks running around on their cellphones talking on FaceTime, as they bust tables. Texting on their cell phones as they walk back into the kitchen. Pure disgusting. I’m telling you Grand Rapids community and visitors DO NOT GO HERE!

Pretty dirty restaurant. The food was decent. The server was fairly nice. The place has really gone downhill in the 2 years since I was there last.

Not Good today. Internet hours are posted closing at 2:30 pm on Sunday. Service was also sub par by an harsh and inattentive waitress. The same Overly aggressive blonde waitress made sure that they were closing by making closing announcements loudly thru the restaurant and snide comments to make sure we were out by 2pm. When I tried to talk to her she became aggressive and confrontational and told me not to comeback while she's working. I never had any issues with the staff here or any other restaurant. I eat here quite a bit - almost a regular. I can't believe I was treated so poorly As I have been very generous with the waitresses And enjoy eating her.

Excellent food. Good service. Building and neighborhood were a bit dicey to look at, but breakfast was well worth it.

Very dirty، discovered three hairs in my omelet...the server was a pregnant lady covered in tattoos with rude attitude

First time going here and glad I did. I definitely will be back. Service was excellent as well as the food (I got breakfast). Prices are very affordable.

I usually like New Beginnings restaurants, but the one on 28th Street by Divison is just tnot worth going to. It took over 15 minutes to get a cup of chili and a drink. And there were only 7 tables being used in the whole restaurant. The chili was so thick, I scooped with my spoon, turned it upside down and NOTHING fell. The flavor wasn't so great either. The stale crackers didn't do much to help. The cheddar cheese on top and glass of milk were the only redeeming things in the meal. ☹️

Amazing place! When we travel, we prefer to eat at small, local spots. We decided to try New Beginnings, which we found on a Google search. We were NOT disappointed. The service was friendly, our waitress made several great suggestions at our request, and the food came so quickly! The portions were large, and great quality. My bacon was fabulous; not a lot of fat, and thick. The eggs were cooked perfectly to over-medium. My husband's potatoes were beautiful and fresh, and my son's pancake was fluffy. The sausage gravy was hearty, not runny like some places. Our drinks never got empty, and we had plenty of leftovers. We would highly recommend this spot!

Not going to lie, I’ve been skeptical about the place in the past. Only because I don’t eat pork and at the time there weren’t any alternatives for breakfast other than chicken in an omelette. However, I was treated to breakfast by my mother today and not only was there a turkey sausage link option…but Jasmine our waitress was awesome!!! We were greeted warmly, the food was made with love and Jasmine took really good care of us along the help of her colleagues checking in on us. She answered all of our questions was honest with her opinion and we received our food quickly! Thanks for a wonderful experience today, because of this I’ll definitely make my way back to this location!

I always enjoy NBR breakfast meals. Great portions, properly cooked. You won't leave a NBR restaurant hungry. Plenty of locations in GR area.My favorite eggs OE, American fries with onions, wheat toast & bacon. They close at 2pm at most locations during the week.

I have going to this restaurant for 15years they bring in a new waitress Chase all the locals out of there that been going there for 15years she interferes on everybody’s conversation therefore I won’t be going to that restaurant anymore Rita and Jackie with the best two waitresses Jackie was would give you the shirt off her back if you need it and Rita iwas always so nice and respectful of that compared to the ones they have now

Food is good but damn you gotta hav a cowbell to get the waitress attention to come fill yor coffee. They also won't give you water unless you ask for it. Been to other new beginnings Like 44th & belt~ they're way better customer service in my opinion. So i Lower my tip drastically.

Looking for a breakfast location close to where we were staying. Stubble across this restaurant based upon the food reviews. When we walked in, you would have thought we were aliens. The stares along was indication of the unfamiliar in this restaurant. We kind of felt like we didn't belong either because the staff & customers were use to the locals or because we of a different race. The staff was courteous and polite, but nothing above and beyond. The food was good but would never go back based upon feeling like we didn't belong.
