It’s always relatively clean inside but the employees are so incredibly patronizing. There are a couple team members specifically that seem to be upset by having customers inside their establishment. It completely kills the vibe every time I get my order (or maybe I should say every time I wait by the counter and get ignored) , possibly some training issues or they’re burnt out. First off, food was delicious! Service left much to be desired. Granted, I don't visit Panera that often, so this might be the way they are now, but we did not have a single employee say a word to us the entire time we were there. We walked in, stood at the counter for a few minutes. An employee walked by and smiled at us but did not attempt to take our order. We found the tablet to place an order ourselves and did that. We sat ourselves and waited for our food to get done. When our food was ready, we received a text, and went up to the counter to pick it up ourselves. Then after we were done, we took care of our garbage and tray. Like I said...maybe this is just the way Panera is...but for how much you are paying for the food, it was a slightly underwhelming experience.

The food is alright but the service here is extremely poor. Waiting 10 plus minutes for your order that has ready, but none of the workers want to actually call out the orders names or what the item is at least so we can come up and get our food.
Having to sit there and individually watch every single workers hands to see if they have your item because they can't just say your name is ridiculous.
Some of us are working and have places to go.

Bagels are delicious, although I ordered from door dash today + very disappointed, I asked for butter for bagels + to have them sliced along with a cup of ice water. No water was brought + bagels weren't sliced. I specifically asked to have bagels sliced as I've had done in the past, + the Door Dash driver said Panera is responsible for that. I also looked at the receipt + it said unsliced bagels, which I am not sure why it would have said that. The breakfast sandwich was terrible, even though hot, it had minimal bacon + cheese - enough to see it slightly but not enough to eat, this is very disappointing - I will not be ordering from this store again - for paying nearly 30$ for this order its absolutely not right@! Please send me a refund!@ I called the store + the worker said I'll have to take it up with door dash, that doesn't make sense because panera is the one who processed the order, don't order their breakfast sandwich for 8$ not worth it. Thanks

Well as we all know parking is non existent here. Homeless people everywhere so the atmosphere is terrible. Plenty of employees standing around doing nothing. On top of all that nonsense, my Med Veggie sandwich was oozing with hummus that my bread was soggy wet and not eatable. If parking wasn't complete crap show I wouldn't returned all of my food. Just pitiful.

I used to love Panera but the portions and quality is definitely NOT worth the price anymore. I ordered a cup of macaroni and thats literally what I got plus a drink for $13.00. A box of bacon mac and cheese would have been a better choice. Which I'm sure what I ordered was straight out of a bag and microwaved. I can't justify paying $13 for this. Homemade from scratch that a chef took time to prepare maybe, but not this...they have lost a customer. No coming back from this and no loss to me!!!!
don't go to the downtown grand rapids location. they don't read customizations, even if they do they don't do anything inconvenient to them. and don't get chicken on your salad, the texture is awful and its impossible to pick up with a fork. i found stems left on the tomatoes. Not the first time i've had an issue with this location but it'll be the last.

The BLT I ordered a few weeks back, had two half strips of bacon. I was eating a bread and tomatoes sandwich.
Today I come for a grilled cheese with absolutely NO crisp to the bread at all. I'm just eating goo.
Y'all a sandwich company..... Imma ask y'all to do better frfr cuz I rarely eat out and when I do, this type of disappointment reminds me why I don't waste my money and it also upsets me because I only eat out when I'm extremely hungry!!

One of the best Panera Breads I’ve ever ordered from!!! Food was excellent (I got the half salad and half sandwich) - I received my order very quickly and the driver was very courteous!! I will definitely order from here again - thank you for great food and great service!!!

In Grand Rapids for a work event, and we couldn't order a breakfast sandwich at 10:30am on a Friday. I couldn't use the clean travel mug I brought with me for coffee, and had to listen to three people argue about how to use the espresso machine for ten minutes while we waited for our order.There aren't any alternatives in the neighborhood, though - the restaurant is clean and the order was correct.
