I ordered thru doordash. If you have ever had thai food in your life, do not go here. You will be ***extremely disappointed***. The "spicy" drunken noodle has no flavor and no heat, and for some reason comes with a ramikin of franks hot sauce... the pad thai has flavor, but it's awful, like stale oil... no herb/spice flavor, and the stale oil taste is so strong that I could hardly taste the lime juice I squeezed on it... Also the pad thai came with a ramikin of franks... whats up with the franks? That's for pizza/wings... This is honestly a huge disappointment... The last time we ordered (our 1st time @ Paul Thai) it was just ok, some items hit some missed (notably the fried rolls were flavorless and so was the dipping sauce, but the tom khar was alright). Overall, this is extremely poor quality. It's honestly so bad that it's practically culturally insensitive to call it "thai" at all. Avoid at all costs!!
paul thai is one of my families favorite thai restaurants in grand rapids. im vegetarian and didnt have any trouble finding something to eat with all of their options. the staff is also super friendly. it can be a bit pricey but it’s definitely a great treat everyone once and a while.
Our favorite Thai place. Cannot say enough good things. Drunken Noodles and the Chicken Noodle Curry (Khao Soi Gai) are beyond impressive. Spring rolls: amazing everytime; very fresh and crispy. Highly recommend.
Absolutely horrible. I’ve ordered from Paul Thai multiple times but recently my orders are getting more and more gross. I ordered the Pad Se Ew tonight and it was legit trash. Noodles all stuck together, vegetables that looked like they were previously frozen, and bland sauce. The crab Rangoons were absurdly overstuffed and sloppily made. Like I love some extra cream cheese but damn… I’m not trying to drown in it. They also weren’t crispy. They were just these nasty little soggy cream cheese balls. Oh and for some reason they INSIST on giving you a little cup of Buffalo sauce with every entree. Never have I ever considered putting Buffalo sauce on my Thai food, but ya sure why not just toss it in there. Never again will I pay $14 for such a horrible meal. It is mind boggling how they continue to charge so much for trash food.
Food is good but overall portion is small (just be aware) especially if you order through doordash. If you do doordash pick up, the owner will yell at you for using doordash and blame you for the fees (I don't understand why they are even using doordash...). After got yelled at for using doordash, I started using their own website to put an online order but sometimes, they will close early without updating their website hour. You will need to call them next morning for refund becuase your card will get charged no matter what... foods are about 20-30% more expensive than other Thai restaurants too...
I've had good pad see ew, and I've had great pad see ew. Never before today have I had horrendous pad see ew.First of all, I was excited to order this because the picture showed Chinese broccoli (hard to find, and my favorite), and the description on Grubhub listed Chinese broccoli. This was not Chinese broccoli. It was your standard broccoli, which I generally love, but which had an off flavor that I can only describe as the matching flavor to the aroma you get when you walk into a not-so-clean meat market. Strangely, the meat tasted fine. Not sure how broccoli could get that flavor, but I absolutely couldn't eat it. And finally, the noodles came in one piece. There's no way the cook could have missed that. One giant noodle, made of many layers of individual noodles. So perfect was the layering, that I am sure that is how the noodles come packaged. No way that was a fluke. I would be embarrassed to serve this in my home. How they can charge for it is beyond me. I guess I am still driving to Zeeland when I want Thai.
Love the atmosphere and the Pad Thai was delicious. Great job Paul!
Got the Pad Thai with tofu and it was very tasty! Cute restaurant with friendly staff. Definitely will be coming back :)
Not very flavorful, very overpriced. $9 for a small bowl Won Ton soup? And these signs are at every table. Extremely tacky.
This is my favorite place to eat! Their food is delicious.

Never been disappointed! Absolutely love coming here every time we visit Grand Rapids. I really recommend the Thai spring rolls and the gyoza!
Did you know that if you order thru Doordash you will receive 50-30% less food for the same cost per dish?? I’m all for supporting local businesses, but you can’t just surprise customers with smaller portions for the same exact price as a full portion.I recommend the restaurant drop doordash before they lose more customers.
Entree portions were decent considering the small size of the appetizer. Appetizer came with very little sweet and sour sauce. My plate I ordered 5/5 spicy. In reality it was a 2/5, and tasted sour for some reason. I'd ordered the spicy bamboo. My BFF ordered a curry, which tasted great.Although the food was good, there are better places in town.
Worst Pad Thai I’ve ever had. The noodles were dry & the chicken was very old & had the consistency of rubber. I couldn’t eat more than a few bites & threw the rest away.
I got the Basil Duck and it was *phenomenal.* I added a bit of spice since I enjoy heat, but the duck and skin were PERFECTLY cooked, really melted in your mouth. The peppers and onions had just enough bite, and the sauce was very flavorful.
