In Grand Rapids for work and this place was right next to the Marriot Downtown. Arrived solo and asked for a table for one and the host asked if the bar was ok. "Sure" I say, even tho I had no plans to drink. I just wanted some dinner and I was starving so I didn't want any wait. Bartender gives me a strange look when I said water is fine. Now here's where I f'd up- at the top of the Tandoori menu is some garlic salmon dish that sounded good. I normally wouldn't go salmon at an Indian place (cuz who does that?). But it was at the very top of the Tandoori menu so I thought that had to be for a reason. Boy was I wrong. So, I order it and desperately wait for 35 minutes without the bartender saying a thing to me or even refilling my water. When the food finally arrived I was served a plate with 3 individual morsels of salmon that had a dark brown crust, on top of a few onion slivers. Included was a small dish of "tangy mango" sauce. Additionally, I was served a bowl of rice the size of my head (very large). The salmon was the single most dry piece of meat I have ever placed in my mouth. I am no chef but this was bad. And the brown crust was just so chewy... The tangy mango sauce was good however I only had enough for about 1/4 of the rice I was given.
Maybe the other food here is better, but it's not worth the risk. Especially for the poor service you have to deal with. I felt like I wasn't wanted in the restaurant. Save yourself the time and money.

Buffet had 4 meat dishes and only 2 "vegetable" options and one of those was panear. She tollerated buffet & I ordered from menu. No bargain! Water served was very chlorinated! ...disgusting! Service was hard to communicate with and college job attention span & experience. Nobody below the manager knew anything. Food was hospital bland and there were no seasons at the table. Only 2 chutneys & not at all repulsive, but very "meh". UNconfortable seating was very poorly designed & arranged in very limited dining space in large building. (Gus Fring laundry in the back?? LOL VERY strange!) Hard, confusing, & expensive to park on street, blocks away, & couldn't find car afterward on very confusing streets! Ample smiles with nothing behind them. What an exploiting waste of time!
I can hardly keep it together when I’m here. I wish I submerse myself in the tamirid sauce and drink it from a cold glass. I’d pay rent to be able to sleep on the buffet. 10/10 would recommend. I wish they were open for breakfast.

Gurpreet, the manager, truly knows how to make guests feel welcome. He was incredibly attentive and went above and beyond to ensure we had a pleasant dining experience.
Because of Gurpreet’s outstanding service, I’m giving this place 4 stars. His kindness and personal touch really elevated the entire visit.
Honestly this is the BEST Indian food in Grand Rapids. The food is all so good, the portions are massive and served in a sharing style. The staff is SO kind. Genuinely some seriously wonderful people work there. The restaurant itself is beautiful. You CANNOT go wrong by eating here. It’s worth every penny and I cannot wait to go back ??
Half sister came to town to see me, and we had lunch buffet here. As nice as servers where I believe I paid to much. My fault I should have looked at itemized bill. Believe I got over charged. By time we left, I paid a total of $57 dollars. Figuratively speaking the place left a bad taste in my mouth. The food variety was okay, as I have eaten there before. But yeah, I think next time I'll be a little gunshy to speak. I love food, and I didn't get sick being foods a different style of food. But if your not into spicy, I'd watch closely what you eat here. All in all it is in a good location, and they validate parking. So for people who like to experiment, I'd say come on in,

We love the food at pind. Had the lunch buffet. Excellent tastes. A little pricey if you’re like me and can’t eat much. Had to pay for parking, never have in the past they used to validate it.
My favorite restaurant in the Grand Rapids area by far! Food is always delicious and the staff is always so kind and attentive!
